Jaguar-Pilot Nick Cassidy holt sich beim „Double Header“ der Formel E in London den Samstags-Sieg. Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche) landet auf Rang 3 und schnappt sich den Zusatzpunkt für die schnellste Rennrunde. Wehrlein-Kollege Antonio Felix da Costa muss mit einem kaputten Frontflügel in die Box, landet auf Platz 14.
Nissan-Pilot und Weltmeister Oliver Rowland geht punktlos aus dem Rennen, sein Kollege Norman Nato landet auf dem 9. Platz. Das heißt: Porsche verpasst zwar den vorzeitigen Gewinn des Team-Titels. Doch mit 37 Punkten Vorsprung auf Nissan ist der Sieg zum Greifen nah.
[–>Auch im Kampf um den Hersteller-Titel sieht es für Porsche gut aus. Jake Dennis im Porsche Kunden-Team von Andretti landete beim ersten Rennen in London auf die Top-5. Dennis sammelte damit wichtige Punkte für die Hersteller-Wertung. Dort liegt Porsche 29 Punkte vor Nissan.
Wehrlein sagte nach seinem dritten Platz: „Ich bin ziemlich zufrieden, mehr war heute nicht drin. Wir wollen hier die zwei Titel in der Team- und Herstellermeisterschaft holen und dafür sind die Punkte sehr wertvoll. Wir nehmen heute das Positive mit und freuen uns auf das Rennen morgen.“

Am morgigen Sonntag steht das letzte Rennen der Saison an. Um 13.20 Uhr steigt das Qualifying, um 18.05 Uhr startet das Rennen, beides live bei DF1 im Free-TV.
