Caio Ribeiro não subestima a capacidade do Corinthians recuperar o melhor futebol. Antes do Timão encarar o Palmeiras, pela Copa do Brasil, o ex-jogador fez questão de enaltecer o setor ofensivo formado por Depay, Garro e Yuri Alberto. Diante do nível de qualidade dos atacantes, houve uma sinalização de que, com os três juntos e em boa forma, vencer qualquer adversário está à altura do clube alvinegro.
“Eu ainda acho que se pagam valores muito altos no Brasil. Mas, sem dúvida nenhuma, ele é diferente. É um jogador de qualidade acima da média… teve essa confusãozinha com atraso de pagamento, que deu uma tumultuada no ambiente, mas o Memphis não é o problema do Corinthians. Ele é uma das soluções.”, disse Caio Ribeiro, no “Globo Esporte”.
“Com o Memphis em campo, o Corinthians é muito mais forte. Com ele, Garro e o Yuri Alberto, o Corinthians tem condições de encarar qualquer adversário […] Vai ser um jogaço e sem favorito. O Palmeiras é menos brilhante sem Estêvão e Paulinho, mas extremamente competitivo. E o Corinthians já ganhou desse Palmeiras na final do Paulista. É um jogo aberto.”, acrescentou.

Fora de casa, o Corinthians somou um ponto contra o Botafogo. Além do resultado satisfatório ao enfrentar uma das equipes mais fortes do Brasileirão, Caio Ribeiro avalia que o controle de minutagem dos titulares, aplicado de forma eficiente, foi outra questão positiva do confronto.
“O saldo, de uma maneira geral, é muito positivo. Dois tempos muito distintos. O primeiro, em que o Corinthians jogou com os reservas, só correu atrás do Botafogo. Quando entraram os titulares, empatou o jogo e poderia ter saído com a vitória. Descansou os principais jogadores para esse jogo da Copa do Brasil. A estratégia foi muito bem executada.”, externou.
Flamengo top-1 do Brasileirão?
Aproveitando o revés do Cruzeiro, derrotado pelo Ceará, o Flamengo reassumiu a liderança do Brasileirão. Em análise sobre o empate do Santos com o Sport, que manteve o Peixe na zona de rebaixamento, Caio Ribeiro ressaltou o feito da equipe alvinegra vencer o melhor time do Brasileirão, mas acumular três tropeços em sequência.
“O Santos precisa voltar a vencer e sair da zona do rebaixamento. Tem time para isso, mas precisa começar a pontuar. O que preocupa é isso. Ganhou do Flamengo, que é o melhor time e o melhor elenco da competição, deu um sinal que vai começar a reagir. Mas, quando você encavala três jogos sem vitórias, liga o sinal de alerta de novo.”, avisou.
