O ex-jogador Michel Bastos, com passagens por São Paulo, Palmeiras, Lyon, seleção brasileira, entre outros, contou um bastidor inédito dos tempos em que atuava no Tricolor paulista, envolvendo um dos grandes ídolos da história do clube paulista, o uruguaio Lugano, campeão da Libertadores e do Mundial pelo SPFC.
Em participação no programa “Domingol com Benja”, exibido pela CNN, Michel Bastos estava falando sobre os protestos das torcidas organizadas do Corinthians nos últimos dias. Então, o ex-jogador disse que já viu muito atleta fazer média com as organizadas, inclusive após alguns protestos. “Já vi muito jogador querer fazer média com torcida organizada. Vários. Já vi isso no São Paulo, no Palmeiras… eu já vi até jogador depois que a gente sofreu com invasão da torcida, ir lá e bater palma para os caras”, iniciou.
Na sequência, o apresentador Benja questionou quem seria esse jogador que foi falar com a torcida e aplaudir eles após uma invasão. Michel Bastos, então, disse que foi Lugano e contou que houve uma rusga depois. “Eu fui tirar satisfação, ele falou que foi lá para apaziguar, por ser um cara forte, com história no clube. Mas, as imagens que eu vi, ele foi para fazer média naquele momento. No dia seguinte a gente conversou, foi um debate meio caloroso e ele não me convenceu, senti que ele foi fazer média.”
O episódio em si não foi revelado pelo ex-jogador, mas Michel e Lugano atuaram juntos no São Paulo em 2016, após o uruguaio retornar ao clube para encerrar sua carreira. Naquele ano, na reta final da temporada, os torcedores tricolores fizeram algumas invasões no CT para cobrar os jogadores. Com isso, foi justamente desgastando a relação de Michel Bastos com o clube do Morumbi, fazendo com que ele ‘pulasse o muro’ e fosse para o Palmeiras.
Vale destacar que Lugano foi muito vitorioso na sua primeira passagem pelo SPFC, entre 2003 e 2006. Depois, atuou em clubes como Fenerbahçe e PSG. Já Michel, chegou ao clube consagrado, depois de boa passagem pelo futebol francês, com as camisas do Lille e Lyon. Ele ainda havia sido titular da seleção brasileira na Copa do Mundo de 2010.

O São Paulo venceu o Fluminense no último final de semana e confirmou o bom momento da equipe após a troca no comando técnico. Já são três vitórias seguidas, tendo apenas uma derrota após o retorno do Mundial de Clubes. Atualmente, o Tricolor paulista se afastou da zona de rebaixamento do Brasileirão, ocupando a 8ª posição.
Agora, o time comandado por Crespo vira a chave e foca na Copa do Brasil em busca do bicampeonato da competição. Nesta quinta-feira (31), encara o Athletico-PR, no MorumBIS, pelo jogo de ida das oitavas de final. A bola rola às 19h30. O jogo de volta, em Curitiba, acontece no dia 6 de agosto (quarta), também às 19h30.
