Nanu, wie sieht er denn aus?
Am Montag beginnt bei Manchester City die Vorbereitung auf die neue Premier-League-Saison. Nach wenigen Wochen Pause nach der Klub-WM will Trainer Pep Guardiola (54) seine Stars nach einer titellosen Saison wieder in die Erfolgsspur bringen – mit einer Überraschung.
Denn: Im Internet sind Bilder aufgetaucht, die den Spanier mit einem neuen Look zeigen. Statt seines typischen Vollbarts trägt Pep nun einen Schnurrbart! Damit wurde er in seiner Heimat Barcelona gesichtet.

Die Fans der Skyblues zeigten sich im Netz euphorisch und hoffen auf einen neuen, hoch motivierten und erfolgshungrigen Trainer – angetrieben vom neuen Aussehen.
So schrieb ein City-Anhänger: „Ja, fürchtet euch. Pep Guardiola ist offiziell zurück.“ Ein anderer stimmte mit ein: „Die Premier League sollte jetzt zittern“ oder auch „Die Liga ist nicht bereit für einen glatzköpfigen Josep Guardiola mit Schnurrbart. Triple Loading.“
Andere User verglichen den Schnurrbart mit dem Aussehen von Ted Lasso, dem Star einer gleichnamigen Fußball-Serie. In dieser spielte Guardiola sogar mal mit, ist bekennender Fan des TV-Trainers.
Ob und wie lange Pep den Schnurrbart trägt, ist natürlich offen. Fans hoffen, dass sie den neuen Anblick noch beim ersten öffentlichen Training von Manchester City bestaunen können. Dieses steigt am 5. August. Bevor die Premier-League-Saison für Manchester City mit einem Auswärtsspiel bei den Wolverhampton Wanderers (16. August) startet, bestreitet City am 9. August noch ein Freundschaftsspiel gegen Palermo in Italien.
