La Comisión Permanente del Consejo General del Poder Judicial declaraba hace nueve días, el pasado 21 de julio, la jubilación del magistrado Emilio Calatayud, quien este miércoles ha atendido por videollamada desde el Valle de Liébana a ‘Espejo Público’.
Conocido por sus sentencias ejemplarizantes a menores, el juez Calatayud ha arrancado su intervención en el espacio de Antena 3 que en verano presenta Lorena García hablando de su jubilación. “Es lo que hay. Son etapas de la vida y ya me ha llegado la última etapa“, ha apuntado antes de desvelar las causas de la misma. “La verdad es que nunca había pensado en la jubilación, pero yo no me he jubilado, sino que me han jubilado, que es distinto. Yo no había pedido la jubilación, pero las circunstancias de la vida y la salud han hecho que me hayan jubilado“, ha confesado el castellano manchego, que antes de la jubilación había estado varios meses de baja.
“La mayoría de los jóvenes pasan de la política”
Lorena García ha aprovechado la presencia del juez de menores en el programa para interrogarle por los jóvenes. La sustituta de Susanna Griso ha citado un artículo del diario El Mundo cuyo titular era ‘Los jóvenes están virando hacia la derecha’ y ha querido conocer su opinión. “Yo, en principio, no me fío mucho de las estadísticas, pero se van radicalizando hacia izquierda y hacia derecha. De todas formas, pasan de la política. Yo lo que veo es que los jóvenes y los menores están peor que antes y la mayoría pasan de la política“, ha destacado el juez Calatayud, a la que la presentadora ha preguntado en qué se basaba para hacer dicha afirmación. “Cada día son más maleducados y más ignorantes“, ha asegurado el ciudadrealeño.
El magistrado Calatayud, a continuación, ha revelado quiénes son los culpables de ello. “En primer lugar, todos los partidos políticos, porque es una pena que en estos años que llevamos de democracia no hayan sido capaces de ponerse de acuerdo para hacer una ley educativa que dure una generación. Cada vez hay más gente mal de la cabeza y chavales, muy jóvenes, mal de la cabeza. Y no solo por depresión, sino por cuestiones externas. Por ejemplo, yo he tenido a chavales que han empezado a consumir alcohol, marihuana y demás con 12 años y esos chavales cuando cumplían 15, 16, 17 años estaban más para allá que para acá. Y había que hacer unos internamientos terapéuticos para ayudar a estos chavales. Cada vez hay más chavales con enfermedades mentales, claro que sí“, ha subrayado el juez Calatayud para concluir.
