Der erfolgreiche Abschluss des Transfers von Liverpools Luis Díaz (28) ist für den FC Bayern eine Erleichterung – und nimmt dem Meister auch beim zweiten potenziellen Millionen-Deal von Stuttgarts Nick Woltemade (23) etwas den Druck.
Der Díaz-Deal trägt klar die Handschrift von Bayern-CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen (57), auch die Gespräche mit dem VfB sind Chefsache: Dreesen meldete sich bei Stuttgarts Vorstandsvorsitzendem Alexander Wehrle (50), der zu Beginn darüber verwundert gewesen sein soll. Denn: Von CEO zu CEO wird in der Regel erst ganz am Ende gesprochen, wenn es darum geht, einen Deal zu finalisieren.

Die Bayern haben sich seit dem zweiten Angebot, welches 50 Mio. plus 5 Mio. Euro Boni betrug, nicht mehr gemeldet. Sie wollen abwarten, da sie um die Einstellung von Woltemade wissen, der weiter intern klarmacht, dass er gehen will. Und da sie nun mit Díaz den ersten wichtigen Offensiv-Deal bereits vollzogen haben.
Der VfB hatte zu Wochenbeginn den Start seines Trainingslagers am Tegernsee, quasi auf FC-Bayern-Territorium: Uli Hoeneß (73) und Eberl wohnen nur wenige Minuten von Rottach-Egern entfernt, wo der VfB untergebracht ist. Stuttgart will im Geduldsspiel auf keinen Fall nachgeben.

„Ich kann den VfB verstehen, wenn man dort sagt: Wieso sollten wir Woltemade billiger abgeben als Díaz, für den Bayern 75 Mio. zahlt? Woltemade ist jünger und ein deutscher Nationalspieler, der eine Identifikationsfigur werden kann. Der VfB hat die Argumente auf seiner Seite“, sagt Lothar Matthäus gegenüber SPORT BILD, der ausschließt, dass die Stuttgarter umfallen werden: „Ich glaube nicht, dass sich der VfB beim aktuellen Angebot mit den Bayern an einen Tisch setzen würde. Damit würde man sich unglaubwürdig machen. Alex Wehrle steht zu seinem Wort, ich kenne ihn.“ Nachdem er am 28. Juni von „80 bis 100 Millionen“ als mögliche Ablösesumme sprach, gab es von Hoeneß eine heftige Replik („Lothar Matthäus hat nicht alle Tassen im Schrank“). Allerdings bezog sich Hoeneß dabei hier allein auf den Betrag von 100 Mio. Euro, den Matthäus so nie als endgültigen Preis genannt hatte.

50 + 5 Mio. sind für Stuttgart nun zu wenig, um sich an einen Tisch zu setzen. Welches Preisschild hat der Torschützenkönig der U21-EM aber? „Ich will keine konkrete Summe nennen, aber ich denke, für Gespräche mit den Bayern muss die fixe Ablöse mindestens bei 70 Mio. stehen, mit Boni im Bereich der 80 Mio. – das ist aber nur meine Einschätzung“, meint Matthäus konsequent.
Am Ende könnte es, selbst wenn der Spieler nun auf einen Wechsel drängt, so kommen wie bei einem anderen Bayern-Profi. Matthäus: „Im Fall Palhinha hat man gesehen, dass der FC Bayern zu seinem Wort steht. Wenn Woltemade in diesem Sommer nicht verpflichtet werden kann, dann kommt er nächstes Jahr.“
Woltemade hofft, trotz Deadline und verfahrener Lage, dass der Deal jetzt zustande kommt. Weil er sich klar positioniert hat, weil er den nächsten Schritt will – und weil das Beispiel Palhinha nicht wirklich ein positives Vorbild ist …
