LeBron James might be 40, but he’s still commanding headlines like it’s 2010. Most recently, a few workout photos sparked talk across social media. The location? A facility once used by the Clippers. The reaction? Wild speculation that James might be considering a move across the hallway at Crypto.com Arena.
Not quite. According to Dallas Hoops Journal, LeBron was simply training at the Klutch Sports office in Playa Vista – the same building that formerly served as the Clippers’ practice facility. The report was quick to shut down any Clippers-related rumors and made one thing very clear: LeBron has no intention of ever joining that franchise.

That’s according to insiders close to James. And it aligns with everything we’ve seen over the years. Even when he first moved to Los Angeles in 2018, The Athletic reported that the Clippers were never seriously considered. The Lakers were always his destination – brand legacy, big stage, and all.
James recently opted out of a $52.6 million player option, prompting a new wave of speculation. But instead of making a surprise move or taking a discount, he signed right back with the Lakers on a new two-year deal. As ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed, he’s not going anywhere.
Still, the offseason has had its nostalgic moments. In Cleveland, the Cavaliers are bringing back their classic navy blue uniforms – the same ones LeBron wore during his early years in the league. As NBA insider Evan Sidery reported, those jerseys will return this season, a callback to the era when LeBron made Cleveland a contender.

It’s a full-circle moment for Cavs fans – a nod to LeBron’s roots even as he carves out the final chapters of his legendary career in Los Angeles.
