Lewis Hamilton não vive um bom momento na Ferrari, e segundo Flavio Gomes, tal desempenho pode significar uma aposentadoria precoce do britânico de 40 anos da Fórmula 1 . O contrato de Hamilton com a equipe italiana vai até 2027.
“Já é possível jogar umas libras em “odds” (possibilidades em inglês) que apresentam a opção de aposentadoria precoce do heptacampeão. Nunca se viu Lewis tão para baixo na carreira quanto neste fim de semana.”, escreve o jornalista em seu blog, no site Grande Prêmio.
Piloto disse ser um inútil após quali do GP da Hungria
A hipótese é levantada por Gomes, após Lewis Hamilton terminar a corrida da Hungria em um apagado 12º lugar. O GP foi a 14ª etapa do mundial de automobilismo disputada neste domingo (3) no circuito de Hungaroring. O próprio Hamilton se chamou de “inútil”, depois de terminar o quali do último sábado (2) também no 12º lugar.
“Sou inútil, absolutamente inútil”, disse à Sky Sports britânica, ao justificar o desabafo que fez no rádio com a repetição de “sempre, sempre”.
“O time não tem problema. Você viu o carro na pole. Então, provavelmente, precisamos trocar de piloto”., completou o piloto se referindo ao fato de seu companheiro, Charles Leclerc, ter terminado a tomada de tempos na primeira posição.
Hamilton está atrás de Leclerc no campeonato
No mundial de pilotos, após 14 corridas, Lewis Hamilton ocupa a 6ª posição na tabela com 109 pontos. Enquanto isso, Leclerc vem logo a frente somando 151. Nos construtores, a Ferrari ocupa a vice-liderança com 260 pontos. A diferença para a líder, McLaren, é de 299 pontos.

Depois de Hungaroring, a F1 faz parada de férias para pilotos e equipes do verão europeu. Os carros voltam as atividades para o GP da Holanda, em Zandvoort, nos dias 29, 30 e 31 de agosto. A etapa marca o inicio da segunda metade do campeonato.
