V 53. minutě Uchenna zblokoval přihrávku či centr od Denise Darmovzala a míč mířil za koncovou čáru. Stoper Sparty ho dobíhal, jenže z vápna se přiřítil domácí Šimek a nigerijský bek vše řešil riskantním skluzem na hranici pokutového území.
Rozhodčí Černý udělil za zákrok žlutou kartu, vše konzultoval s VAR, ale na verdiktu z hraní plochy se nic nezměnilo. Experti ve studiu Oneplay Sport pak z detailních záběrů usoudili, že k faulu došlo zřejmě mimo vápno. A případně šlo o takovou situaci, že videorozhodčí správně neintervenovali.
„Byl tam penaltový moment. Jsem zvědavý, co na to řekne komise rozhodčích. K sudím se ale vůbec nechci vyjadřovat. Byly tam kritické momenty v náš neprospěch. Zápas s favoritem jsme odehráli se ctí. Hraje se ale na výsledek a my nemáme nic,“ posteskl si Střihavka.
Trenéra Sparty Briana Priskeho primárně rozzlobilo, že chvíli před inkriminovaným momentem zbytečně ztratil míč obránce Adam Ševínský.
„Pak vše pokračovalo a Uča udělal tuhle věc. Viděl jsem nějaké záběry, penalta to za mě nebyla, ale samozřejmě nebylo nutné situaci řešit takhle,“ komentoval Priske.
Relativně kousek od Uchennova skluzu byl záložník hostí Lukáš Sadílek. „Těžké to popsat, měl jsme ve výhledu ještě pár hráčů, musím se podívat na video,“ líčil.

Následně popsal i styl hry svého parťáka z kabiny. „Zákroky hodně řešíme a víme, že Uča s tím má trochu problém. Do všeho jde naplno. Musíme ho klidnit, aby to nepřepálil. I když má žlutou, jde do toho ostře. Nic ale nevypustí, toho si na něm ohromně ceníme. Podobné hráče potřebujeme,“ dodal Sadílek.
Pardubice nakonec standardní situace nevyužily a po pár minutách propadly ve středu hřiště. Z následné akce pak zvýšil na 2:0 Lukáš Haraslín a Sparta už si i přes vlastní branku Ševínského zbytek duelu pohlídala.
