Joao Palhinha wird den FC Bayern verlassen, kommende Saison für den Premier-League-Klub Tottenham Hotspur auflaufen.
Die Klubs waren sich bereits einig, auf der Spielerseite gab es aber noch ein paar letzte Details zu klären. Nun ist sich nach BILD-Informationen auch Palhinha selbst einig mit Tottenham!

Die Rahmenbedingungen: Die Spurs leihen den Portugal-Nationalspieler zunächst aus, für 2026 gibt es eine Kaufoption über 30 Millionen Euro.
Palhinha hatte am Freitag bereits den Medizincheck in München gemacht, beim Spiel gegen Lyon stand er wegen des sich anbahnenden Wechsels schon nicht mehr im Kader. Bayern-Sportdirektor Christoph Freund hatte nach dem Spiel gesagt: „Wenn alles glatt läuft, wird es sich nicht mehr endlos ziehen, es wird zeitnah passieren.“
[–>Nun ist das Kapitel Palhinha bei Bayern erst mal beendet. In Deutschland hatte der Portugiese ein unglückliches Jahr: Ex-Bayern-Coach Thomas Tuchel (51) wollte ihn schon im Sommer 2023 nach München holen, damals scheiterte der 65-Mio.-Wechsel trotz absolviertem Medizincheck noch am Deadline Day. Ein Jahr später klappte der Transfer schließlich, Palhinha kam für 51 Millionen. Aber da war Tuchel schon nicht mehr Trainer in München.
In Fulham wurde Palhinha als zweikampfstarker Sechser gefeiert. Nun geht es zurück nach London

Unter Nachfolger Vincent Kompany (39) spielte Palhinha auch wegen Verletzungen und Erkrankungen kaum eine Rolle. In seiner ersten Saison in München lief er in 25 Pflichtspielen für die Bayern auf, kam aber lediglich zehnmal von Beginn an zum Einsatz.
Mit dem Fußball der Premier League ist Palhinha bestens vertraut. Von 2022 bis 2024 lief er für den FC Fulham auf (79 Pflichtspiele für den London-Klub).
Mit Tottenham kann der portugiesische Nations-League-Sieger auch in der Champions League auflaufen. Durch den Europa-League-Sieg in der Vorsaison qualifizierten sich die Spurs nach einer verkorksten Liga-Spielzeit (Platz 17) noch für die Königsklasse.
