Everton are in talks with Chelsea over the permanent transfer of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Everton are expecting to be active in the final weeks of the summer transfer window and central midfielder has been identified as a position of need, after Abdoulaye Doucoure departed upon the expiration of his contract this summer.

As reported by The Athletic last week, Chelsea will only consider a permanent sale and will demand a fee of around £30million — the value they paid Leicester City for the midfielder last year — while other Premier League clubs have also made enquiries.
The 26-year-old had been a fixture of the Leicester midfield under head coach Enzo Maresca, who also moved to the west London club that summer.
However, Maresca used him sparingly in the Premier League in 2024-25, with just two league starts and featuring in just 13 matches.
The majority of Dewsbury-Hall’s minutes came in the Conference League, where he featured in all 13 matches en route to Chelsea lifting the title. All four of his goals came in the competition, netting against Gent, Shamrock Rovers, FC Copenhagen and Djurgarden.
Dewsbury-Hall made 31 appearances in total during his debut season at Chelsea.
David Moyes has strengthened his squad with the arrivals of Thierno Barry, Adam Aznou and Mark Travers this summer, while also signing Carlos Alcaraz permanently following his loan spell last season. The Merseyside club have also extended the contracts of Jarrad Branthwaite and Idrissa Gueye. But there remains a clear need to improve a threadbare squad and Everton have also held talks with Southampton over winger Tyler Dibling.
Chelsea meanwhile have reached an agreement with Burnley for the permanent sale of midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu.
