Ronaldo Giovanelli não poupa Félix Torres no Corinthians: “É impressionante a falta de entendimento de futebol que ele tem”

Na tarde de ontem (03), o Corinthians entrou em campo contra o Fortaleza e novamente tropeçou pelo Brasileirão, ficando no 1 a 1, acumulando quatro jogos sem vitória na competição. Neste jogo, o técnico Dorival Júnior escalou um time quase todo reserva, pensando no jogo de quarta-feira, diante do Palmeiras, pela Copa do Brasil.

Uma das novidades do treinador foi a escalação de Félix Torres na lateral-direita, posição que ele já atuou outras vezes, mas não conseguiu se destacar. O defensor equatoriano não vive uma grande fase no clube paulista e vem encontrando dificuldades atuando também como zagueiro, sua posição de origem, recebendo críticas dos torcedores.

Ontem, o gol do Fortaleza saiu justamente do lado dele, onde Breno Lopes se posicionou nas costas do jogador e recebeu livre na área para marcar. No programa “Jogo Aberto”, da Band, o ex-jogador Ronaldo Giovanelli falou sobre esse lance e fez duras críticas ao defensor, entendendo que ele não tem condições de atuar nem como zagueiro e nem como lateral.

“O Félix Torres não tem condições de jogar no Corinthians, não sei se é filho de alguém, quem está bancando ele. Ele anda em campo. Ele não é lateral-direito, não é nada, ele nem é jogador, não se encaixa em nenhum termo que eu possa usar aqui. É impressionante a falta de entendimento de futebol que ele tem. Não sabe marcar, não sabe fechar espaço… esse menino não tem condições de jogar. E alguém tem que fazer alguma coisa, está todo mundo vendo”, opinou o comentarista.

Félix Torres no Corinthians

Félix Torres chegou ao Timão no início do ano passado, vindo do Santos Laguna (MEX) com uma certa grife, por ser um jogador da seleção equatoriana. Ele custou 6,5 milhões de euros por 80%. (cerca de R$ 41 milhões). No início, virou titular e até fez bons jogos, mas foi caindo de rendimento e perdendo espaço na equipe.

Ao todo, soma 77 partidas pelo Alvinegro, com nove cartões amarelos e duas expulsões. Na atual temporada, fez 25 jogos e um gol. Essa foi a quinta vez que ele atuou como lateral-direito, com duas vitórias, duas derrotas e um empate. Atualmente, Matheuzinho é o titular da posição. Já na zaga, os titulares tem sido Gustavo Henrique e André Ramalho.

Decisão pela Copa do Brasil

O Timão volta a campo nesta quarta-feira (06), às 21h30, diante do Palmeiras, no Allianz Parque, pelo jogo de volta das oitavas de final da Copa do Brasil. Na ida, em casa, o Corinthians venceu por 1 a 0, gol marcado por Memphis Depay. Agora, precisa apenas de um empate para avançar. Se o Verdão vencer por um gol de diferença, a decisão vai para os pênaltis.
