Zinho, antes da bola rolar em Palmeiras x Corinthians, projetou o impacto da possível eliminação do time alviverde. Embora o baque envolvendo uma frustração no Dérbi da Copa do Brasil seja relevante, o ex-jogador vê margem para uma volta por cima em 2025. Isso porque a equipe de Abel Ferreira possui chances reais de título no Brasileirão e Copa do Brasil, algo capaz de conter a pressão dos torcedores.
“Por ter um treinador que tem um grupo na mão, comanda tudo e tem sua estratégia de jogo, o Palmeiras compete no topo. O jogo está em aberto. O Palmeiras briga entre os três melhores do Brasileirão e tem a melhor campanha da Libertadores. Essa manifestação (da torcida) é porque é Palmeiras x Corinthians.”, disse Zinho, no “Equipe F”, da ESPN.
“Eu acho que (vai pesar) um pouco mais para o Corinthians por decisões do futuro. O Palmeiras não vai mandar o Abel embora. A torcida pode pegar no pé… mas o Palmeiras vai seguir o trabalho, o planejamento e a organização, com pressão da arquibancada. O reflexo na Libertadores e no Brasileirão pode apagar isso.”, completou.
Situação no Corinthians
Eliminado da Sul-Americana, o Corinthians se encontra distante da briga pelo título do Brasileirão. Descartando uma arrancada histórica nos pontos corridos, Zinho acredita que, em caso de eliminação na Copa do Brasil, o impacto será maior em relação ao Palmeiras, cenário capaz de motivar o desligamento de Dorival Júnior.
“No Corinthians, o emprego do Dorival corre risco, infelizmente. O comportamento dos atletas pode mudar muito depois de ter uma vantagem e perder a classificação. Só tem o Brasileirão. O Corinthians não vai ser campeão brasileiro.”, opinou.
Remontagem do Palmeiras
Investindo pesado em reforços, o Palmeiras se encontra em processo de reformulação. Compreendendo que não é fácil, de forma imediata, encaixar os novos jogadores, Zinho lembrou a presença somente de três titulares do elenco multicampeão dos últimos anos. Por conta disso, uma eventual eliminação na Copa do Brasil não pode causar um ambiente de terra arrasada.
“O Abel está montando, principalmente ofensivamente, uma nova equipe. O Facundo Torres chegou há pouco tempo, o Sosa chegou agora, o Vitor Roque chegou buscando se encontrar após uma temporada ruim fora do país. O Maurício teve lesão e voltou. O Veiga não consegue jogar o que jogou… o Evangelista começou a jogar de titular agora, o Aníbal Moreno era titular, se machucou e entrou o Martínez. Tem essa dúvida. Daquela espinha dorsal campeã de tudo, tem o Weverton, Gustavo Gómez e Piquerez.”, pontuou.
