Die Bundesliga bekommt einen neuen Chef-Richter!
Nach 18 Jahren verabschiedet sich Udo Steiner (85) als Vorsitzender des Ständigen Schiedsgerichts der Lizenzligen. Als Nachfolger sprechen sich das DFL-Präsidium und die -Geschäftsführung auf der Generalversammlung der 36 Klubs am 3. September in Berlin für Peter Müller (69) aus, den ehemaligen CDU-Ministerpräsidenten des Saarlands. Das geht aus der DFL-Tagesordnung hervor, die SPORT BILD vorliegt.

Nach seiner politischen Karriere war Müller zwölf Jahre als Richter am Bundesverfassungsgericht (BVerfG) in Karlsruhe tätig. Die Klubs haben allerdings bis zum 5. August die Möglichkeit, eigene Kandidaten vorzuschlagen, wovon allerdings nicht auszugehen ist. Müller würde das Amt für vier Jahre bis zur nächsten DFL-Generalversammlung übernehmen.
Dem unabhängigen Ständigen Schiedsgericht gehören drei Richter an. Es entscheidet über Streitigkeiten zwischen der DFL, dem DFB und den 36 Profiklubs. Seine Entscheidungen sind verbandsintern endgültig und rechtsgültig.
