Tyreek Hill faced a personal scare this week when his eight-month-old daughter, Capri, was rushed to the emergency room with sudden and concerning symptoms as his mother opened up on the terrifying moment.
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver shares the young child with his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, who posted details on Instagram about the frightening experience and the medical response that followed.

According to Keeta, the emergency unfolded late Wednesday night when Capri began to feel unusually warm, appeared extremely tired, and was “just not herself”, leading to her trip to the ER.
“Last night was scary,” Vaccaro wrote. “Capri started feeling warm, super sleepy, and just not herself. I called @drjaredmiami, and within minutes, he had us straight into the ER with an incredible team waiting for us.
“Blood work, viral panels, cultures, done swiftly and gently. So grateful for the kind of care that shows up at late night and gets things handled. She’s doing much better today.”
The 28-year-old’s post was accompanied by a photo of Capri smiling from her hospital bed, providing reassurance to concerned followers as things appear stable for the kid, born in November 2024.
Hill was notably absent from Miami Dolphins practice on Wednesday, officially listed with an undisclosed injury, but whether his absence was linked to his daughter’s medical emergency remains unclear.
The All-Pro receiver, nicknamed Cheetah for his blistering speed, was later spotted boarding a team plane for the Dolphins‘ opening preseason game against the Chicago Bears.
Just days before the incident, Hill had shared personal moments with his daughter on Instagram. In a post dated July 31, the receiver uploaded images of himself holding Capri on the beach, dressed in a pink swimsuit, and another of the two sitting together at a restaurant.
He captioned the series, “Creating memories with my lil Girl” and his bond with Capri has been a visible part of his public life, often highlighted in personal posts despite the challenges in his marriage as he negotiates divorce.
Hill loses race to man 20 years older
The Dolphins star recently made the headlines for reasons he won’t be too happy about as he lost a footrace to the Pro Hall of Fame receiver, Terrell Owens, who is 20 years older than the 31-year-old.
The matchup, captured on video, showed Cheetah, eclipsed in a sprint and caught the attention of fans online ahead of the 2025/26 NFL season as to whether Tyreek still has what it takes.
Some speculated the result signaled Hill “losing a step” after a challenging 2024 campaign at the Hard Rock Stadium, whilst others saw it as a lighthearted competition rather than a serious test of speed.
Hill remains one of the league’s most dynamic players, with 7302 scrimmage yards and 53 touchdowns from 517 receptions in his career, averaging 85.2 receiving yards per game.
