Jaxson Dart will have to wait his turn in the New York Giants’ quarterback pecking order, but his first NFL preseason action revealed that he may not have to sit on the bench for long.
The first-round rookie made one big-time throw — an impressive deep shot with perfect accuracy to the endzone — and finished 12-of-19 for 154 passing yards. He added 24 yards on the ground before giving way to Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito, both of whom looked solid, too.
The well-rounded effort from the Giants’ signal-callers spurred the offense to points in bunches and a 34-25 win over the Buffalo Bills in preseason Week 1.
Bills fourth-round rookie interior defender Deone Walker starred on 15 snaps in his NFL debut. Once thought to be a first-round-caliber player, Walker dropped in the 2025 NFL Draft, but his 95.9 PFF overall grade, pending reviews, was the top mark in the game.
PFF’s dedicated team of graders was hard at work, analyzing every player on every play in real time. The comprehensive grades and data will be available after a thorough review tomorrow at 12 p.m. EST.

PLAYER OF THE GAME
Deone Walker tied with Abdul Carter and Trace Ford for the game high in quarterback pressures (three). His 27.3 pass-rush win rate was the second-best clip in the game, behind only Carter, who played just three snaps. Walker, a fourth-round pick out of Kentucky, was a pass-rushing and run-defending menace in 2023 before a less-heralded 2024 campaign, which ultimately led to his draft fall.
