Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid recently addressed widespread media speculation by firmly stating that Taylor Swift‘s continued presence at NFL games has not been a distraction – but rather, a powerful force in attracting more female viewers.
Ahead of the 2025 NFL season, Reid spoke on a local radio show about Swift’s positive influence, especially among women and girls tuning into football.
Reid, who revealed he’s been a Swift fan since before she began dating Travis Kelce, spoke fondly of the pop icon’s character and authenticity.
He emphasized how well Swift and Kelce manage their fame, saying their behavior has had a constructive impact on the public perception of the sport.
“Obviously, women, girls, they’re looking at the game a little bit more,” Reid shared, crediting her for elevating interest in both flag football and elite-level competition.
