O Atlético-MG teve um classificação heroica contra o Flamengo no último meio de semana nas oitavas de final da Copa do Brasil, vencendo nos pênaltis depois de ser derrotado no tempo normal. Um jogo que, diante de tudo o que aconteceu com o clube dentro e fora de campo recentemente, pode representar uma ‘virada’ na temporada.
‘Precisávamos de uma vitória como essa’
Quem vê tal potencial para isto é Gabriel Menino. O volante deu entrevista ao site No Ataque e falou de como a classificação impactou o Galo para o restante do ano, e na opinião do jogador, vencer o Flamengo era o resultado mais que necessário para assegurar que o time ‘recuperou suas forças’ e assegurar que o elenco está ‘unido’ para a busca dos títulos tão esperados pela Massa.
“Acho que era isso que a gente precisava. Precisávamos de uma vitória como essa, contra um grande clube como o Flamengo, para que o nosso foco e as nossas forças retornassem, e elas retornaram. Acredito que somos mais fortes em equipe do que individual. Creio que, se continuarmos assim, temos muita coisa boa para colher ainda neste ano”, disse Menino.
Festa da torcida
Um fator que foi de grande influência para o resultado foi a torcida atleticana, que lotou a Arena MRV para empurrar o Galo na busca pela classificação às quartas de final da Copa do Brasil. Gabriel Menino tratou de fazer uma exaltação à Massa por confiar na equipe, acreditando que ela moverá os jogadores para ir longe nas competições.
“A torcida é o nosso 12º jogador e, com o espetáculo que fizeram na quarta-feira, o mínimo que a gente poderia fazer por eles é nos doarmos em campo. E foi isso o que fizemos, fomos bem e fomos premiados com a vitória”, declarou o volante
“(A torcida do Atlético-MG) é apaixonada. Ela contagia, dá forças para nós. Se eles forem assim em todos os jogos, creio que poderemos vencer a maioria deles”, completou o meio-campista em seu elogio aos atleticanos.
