The preseason games are underway, and the fresh faces of the upcoming NFL season are already showcasing their true potential. Whether they’re rookies, veteran players in new teams, or first-year coaches, everyone is facing their first big test before the regular season kicks off. Some have impressed early on, while others, like theDallas Cowboys’ head coach, have been a disappointment.

Since Brian Schottenheimer joined the Dallas Cowboys as head coach for the upcoming season, he has faced criticism, largely because he wasn’t the fans’ first choice. On top of that, the team’s fan base has been somewhat disconnected, leading to growing divisions within the community.

Cowboys’ George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb go head-to-head in one-handed catch contest

The All-American team faced a tough defeat at SoFi Stadium, falling 10 points short against the Rams. The Cowboys struggled early, trailing by 14 points at the end of the first quarter. However, it’s worth noting that the Schottenheimer-led squad showed signs of improvement as the game progressed.

Dallas Cowboys struggle in early clash with the Los Angeles Rams

The Dallas Cowboys have had a busy and complicated summer, facing several challenges-particularly surrounding the Micah Parsons situation. Despite putting in hard work during their training camp in California, the team struggled to deliver a strong performance at SoFi Stadium, falling short of securing an important victory.

The All-America team struggled throughout the entire match, ultimately falling 31-21 to the Rams. The home team came out strong in the first quarter, scoring two touchdowns and their extra points. In the second quarter, the Cowboys managed to cut the deficit by just six points. The third quarter followed a similar pattern, with the Rams extending their lead by another three points.

Before entering the final quarter, the Texas side was trailing 17-6. However, in the last 15 minutes, Brian Schottenheimer’s team showed improvement and delivered a stronger performance, scoring 15 points compared to the Rams’ 14 in that period.

The voices of the fans after the defeat of the Cowboys

Despite the team’s improvement in the final quarter, fans remain frustrated with Schottenheimer and everyone involved in the Dallas Cowboys franchise. The fan base has openly expressed their dissatisfaction and lack of confidence in the coaching staff.

During the match and after the defeat the social media flooded with different messages asking the franchise to fire the new Head Coach of the franchise. Many of the fans wrote, “Fire Brian Schottenheimer.” Another fan said, “Brian Schottenheimer gave the whole team CTE,”.

Others criticized the head coach’s attitude during the preseason training camps. While Schottenheimer aimed to show commitment and dedication to the team, some fans felt he appeared distracted and less focused than expected.

For now, the team is gearing up for their second preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. This match will be crucial for securing a win and allowing Schottenheimer to continue his work without added pressure. Otherwise, fans are expected to ramp up their demands and push for changes.
