The 2017 Draft will be one of the most remembered in NFL history, when the Kansas City Chiefs, with the 10th pick of the first round, selected Patrick Mahomes – a player who has changed the franchise’s history and is already considered one of the best in league history, with three Super Bowls to his name.
Shedeur Sanders feels at home in NFL debut with David Njoku, Myles Garrett and Jimmy Horn Jr
The big problem of that Draft was the Chicago Bears, who, with the second overall pick, took Mitchell Trubisky while Mahomes was still available. The project failed, and to this day, they haven’t been able to erase that mistake. A similar situation may have repeated itself in the 2025 Draft with the New York Giants and Shedeur Sanders.
The New York Giants were one of the teams linked to Shedeur Sanders; however, Head Coach Brian Daboll decided to pass on him and take Jaxson Dart instead. It’s still too early to say whether the Giants were wrong, but Shedeur Sanders shined in his first preseason game.
Richard Sherman criticizes the Giants for passing on Shedeur Sanders
The reality is that last Friday, Shedeur Sanders silenced his critics with a stunning performance against the Carolina Panthers in the Browns’ first preseason game. Sanders threw two touchdown passes and looked incredible, despite not having had many opportunities in training camp.
With the Giants, Jaxson Dart also played well in his debut, but former Seahawks and 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman criticized New York for passing on a talent like Sanders.
“It’s for the teams, the quarterback-needy teams that should have taken him, that are in and still in quarterback turmoil. Whether it’s the New York Giants, who went out and got Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, and they ended up drafting Jaxson Dart; if Jaxson Dart goes out there and has a preseason game like Shedeur Sanders does, everybody is gonna be screaming for him to start for the Giants,” Sherman said on his podcast.
Only time will tell, but Shedeur Sanders was projected to be a first-round pick and somehow inexplicably fell to the fifth round – so he could become one of those unforgettable Draft stories.

Chelsea were not sharp in their opening Premier League game, but is Club World Cup to blame?
Five short weeks after winning the Club World Cup at MetLife Stadium, Chelsea returned to competitive play at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, banners celebrating their latest championship adorned around their stadium. The Blues, though, swapped an impressive 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain last month for a sluggish 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace, the scoreline a perfect reflection of the performance.External factors likely played a sizable role in Chelsea's underwhelming showing on Sunday, the Club World Cup creating wonky preseason schedules for the European teams that made deep runs. Enzo Maresca's side, for example, played an 11-month season, took three weeks off, and had just 13 days of preseason preparation before facing Palace on Sunday, while the opponent had a much more traditional build-up. Maresca did not feel his side were underprepared as a result, but it was hard to ignore […]

Ollie Gordon is a must add player to all Fantasy Football rosters with injury uncertainty among Dolphins RBs
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- The Dolphins have a running back problem.De'Von Achane is nursing a calf injury that the Dolphins trainers don't want him to rush back from. Maybe that's not quite a big deal because the team doesn't have a meaningful game until Sept. 7. Maybe it is a big deal because anytime your star running back is sidelined of course, it's a big deal. It holds doubly true for Achane, as he has battled through injuries throughout his career. And that big deal was made even bigger when second-year running back Jaylen Wright limped off the field with a right leg problem during the Dolphins' joint practice with the Jaguars on Thursday. That further depletes a Dolphins run game that already lost veteran Alexander Mattison last weekend in their preseason game at Chicago.Wright was already splitting reps in practice […]

Nach Berater-Wechsel – Vertrags-Wende bei Barça-Star!
Neuer Berater, neues Vertrauen, neue Zukunft?
