Beneke ist ein mit viel Talent ausgestatteter Rückraum-Linkshänder. 2023 wurde er mit der U21 des Deutschen Handballbundes (DHB) Weltmeister. In der Handball-Szene fragen sich viele, wie es mit ihm weitergeht.
Handball-Weltmeister wird zum Tuschel-Thema
Bei den Füchsen steht Beneke bis 2027 unter Vertrag. Zuletzt klopfte der Bundesliga-Rückkehrer Bergischer HC in Berlin an, Ziel war eine Ausleihe Benekes für die kommende Spielzeit. Das Thema platzte jedoch. BHC-Sportchef Fabian Gutbrod: „Wir konnten uns mit Berlin nicht einigen.“
Es ist für alle Seiten eine Zwickmühle. Beneke braucht Spielzeit, er muss und möchte auf der Platte stehen. Die Positions-Konkurrenz bei den Füchsen erschwert seine Lage, Beneke liefert dennoch ab. Vergangenes Wochenende machte er im Turnier-Testspiel in Potsdam gegen die Japaner von Toyota Auto Body Brave Kings beim 48:33 fünf Tore.

Eisenachs Geschäftsführer René Witte sondiert den Markt nach einem weiteren Rückraum-Rechtshänder: „Wir schauen uns um. Haben dabei aber keinen Stress.“
Beneke sucht seine Stellung in der Berliner Linkshänder-Hierarchie. Die Füchse wiederum müssten sich gut überlegen, ob sie ihm per Leihe zu mehr Spielzeit verhelfen. Der Berliner Kader umfasst 16 Profis, ein Ausleihe Benekes und dann noch 15 Spieler wäre durchaus ein genau abzuwägendes Wagnis. Denn der U21-Weltmeister hält mit seiner Anwesenheit auch die Trainings-Qualität beim amtierenden deutschen Meister hoch.
