A eliminação do Palmeiras na Copa do Brasil contra o arquirrival Corinthians ainda é tema das discussões nos programas esportivos. Nesta segunda-feira (11), o ex-jogador Cicinho participou do “Jogo Aberto”, na Band, e defendeu a o técnico Abel Ferreira das críticas e xingamentos que recebeu dos torcedores do time alviverde na semana passada, no Allianz Parque.
Para o comentarista da atração, o comandante do Verdão está tendo trabalho para reconstruir o time após saídas de jogadores considerados muito importantes. Além disso, citou que os torcedores alviverdes estão obcecados pelo Mundial de Clubes e ficaram frustrados com a participação do time na competição disputada nos Estados Unidos entre junho e julho.
“É esperado esse desempenho porque perdeu Paulinho, Estêvão, Richard Ríos… O Abel está tentando encontrar uma outra maneira de jogar. O torcedor palmeirense acredito que está frustrado pela expectativa que criou para o Mundial… Sinceramente, já não tem mais graça para o Palmeiras ganhar Brasileiro, Libertadores porque nos últimos dez anos ganhou tudo”, avaliou Cicinho.
“Eu acho que o torcedor do Palmeiras está chorando de barriga cheia. Espera. O Abel é o melhor treinador que tem no nosso país. Ele precisa de tempo”, completou o comentarista, apontando o treinador como a pessoa ideal para reconstrução do time alviverde para a sequência da temporada 2025.
Palmeiras deve ter Fuchs contra o Universitario-PER
O Verdão iniciou a semana de treinamentos com uma novidade importante para o setor defensivo. O zagueiro Bruno Fuchs está recuperado de um edema na coxa esquerda que o tirou dos últimos três jogos e iniciou a transição física para estar novamente à disposição do técnico Abel Ferreira para a partida contra o Universitario-PER, nesta quinta-feira (14), às 21h30 (de Brasília), em Lima, pela Libertadores.
Caso esteja 100% para a partida, o defensor deve recuperar a vaga no time titular que vem sendo ocupada por Micael, jogador muito contestado pelos torcedores do Verdão. Vale destacar que o zagueiro Murilo também já está recuperado de uma lesão sofrida durante o Mundial de Clubes e é opção para formar dupla com Gustavo Gómez.
Abel volta a falar sobre renovação
Com contrato somente até dezembro deste ano com o time alviverde, Abel Ferreira ainda não decidiu se vai aceitar a renovação até o fim de 2027, período que termina também a gestão da presidente Leila Pereira no clube. Segundo o português, a decisão sobre a permanência ou saída será revelada no “momento certo”.
“Temos um histórico juntos, respeito mútuo entre mim e torcedores, são 20 milhões, ganhamos e perdemos juntos. Mas quero que saibam que meu foco é pelos jogadores, pelo clube, por esta camisa. Este é o mais importante. O meu futuro será decidido no momento certo, com máximo respeito ao Palmeiras.”
