A grande fase do centroavante José Manuel “Flaco” López parece que vai mesmo ser recompensada já nesta próxima Data Fifa, pois o camisa 42 do Palmeiras figura na pré-lista da Seleção Argentina para os jogos contra Venezuela, no próximo dia 4 de setembro, em Buenos Aires, e diante do Equador, no dia 9 de setembro, for de casa.
O técnico Lionel Scaloni colocou o jogador do Verdão de 24 anos pela primeira vez entre os 31 nomes que deverão ser chamados. Nas redes sociais, alguns torcedores brincaram dizendo que o técnico Abel Ferreira tem conseguido tanto atrapalhar o ataque do time que é capaz de Flaco deixar o time titular em breve depois da convocação.
A maioria dos torcedores, no entanto, parabenizou Flaco López e apontou como um merecimento do centroavante que vem sendo titular ultimamente, fazendo dupla de ataque com Vitor Roque, com direito a gols e assistências. Nesta temporada, no total o camisa 42 disputou até aqui 41 jogos e balançou as redes rivais 15 vezes, além de dar três passes para gols dos colegas.
Abel “previu” convocação de Flaco em 2024
Ainda em junho do ano passado, quando se falava muito na possibilidade da contratação de um novo centroavante para o Palmeiras – Vitor Roque só chegou no início deste ano -, o técnico Abel Ferreira fez elogios a Flaco López e previu que não demoraria muito para que seu atacante fosse chamado para defender a seleção da Argentina.
“Acho que é um jogador que mais cedo ou mais tarde vai chegar na seleção da Argentina porque, na minha opinião, eles não tem lá nenhum jogador com as características dele. É um jogador que gostamos muito, seja pela pessoa que é, um garoto espetacular, seja pelo jogador que é”, destacou o treinador do Verdão naquela oportunidade.
Próximo jogo do Palmeiras
Depois de vencer o Botafogo no fim de semana, pelo Brasileirão, o elenco do Palmeiras começa agora a preparação para o segundo jogo das oitavas de final da Libertadores, contra o Universitario-PER, marcado para esta quinta-feira (21), às 21h30 9de Brasília), no Allianz Parque. Como goleou o adversário na ida, em Lima, por 4 a 0, o time alviverde se classifica até com derrota por três gols de diferença.
Para a partida, aproveitando a excelente vantagem construída, Abel Ferreira deverá dar descanso para os jogadores que têm demonstrado maior desgaste pela sequência de jogos recente e, portanto, deve escalar um time misto com boa parte dos titulares iniciando o duelo decisivo no banco de reservas, como o zagueiro Gómez, o lateral Piquerez, o volante Lucas Evangelista e o centroavante Vitor Roque.
