Neymar describió como “una mierda y una vergüenza” la goleada por 0-6 que el Santos recibió este domingo ante el Vasco da Gama en el Campeonato Brasileño. Se trata de la peor goleada sufrida por el delantero paulista en toda su carrera.
“Estoy totalmente decepcionado con nuestro juego. Ustedes tienen todo el derecho a protestar, pero sin violencia, aunque sí tienen derecho a insultar. Es un sentimiento de mucha vergüenza. Nunca había pasado por esto en mi vida”, afirmó el exjugador del Barcelona y del PSG a periodistas.
La imagen que resumió la humillación fue el abrazo que el técnico del Vasco da Gama, el exseleccionador brasileño Fernando Diniz, tuvo que dar al final del partido a un inconsolable Neymar, que abandonó la cancha llorando y ocultando el rostro con la camiseta.
El delantero, que lucha por volver a ser convocado a la selección brasileña, nunca había perdido un partido por seis goles de diferencia.
Muchos de los 53.000 asistentes al estadio Morumbis este domingo habían acudido al partido con la esperanza de ver una exhibición de Neymar, pero terminaron dándole la espalda a su equipo.

Pocos minutos después de la goleada, el Santos anunció la rescisión del contrato del técnico Cleber Xavier.
El 0-6 es la mayor goleada que el Vasco le ha propinado al Santos en 98 años de disputas entre ambos clubes y la mayor paliza sufrida por el equipo de Pelé como anfitrión en encuentros del Campeonato Brasileño. El Santos nunca había perdido por más de cuatro goles un partido de la liga en casa.
La derrota de hoy dejó al Santos en el puesto decimoquinto de la clasificación, con 21 puntos (a dos puntos de los puestos de descenso).

Neymar ha compartido en su Instagram una captura de pantalla de los mensajes de apoyo que recibió por parte de su hijo tras la dura goleada. “Buenas noches papá, sé que hoy fue un día difícil para ti y para nosotros, pero quería que supieras que en estos momentos difíciles y cuando nadie esté a tu lado, sepas que yo siempre voy a estar aquí para apoyarte. Eres más que un excelente padre, eres un ídolo, eres mi inspiración, y aún en los días en los que lloras, quiero que sepas que yo te quiero mucho”, escribe Davi Lucca.
