Rooney: „Einer der besten Torhüter der Welt“
Im Rahmen der „Wayne Rooney Show“ sagte der Ex-United-Star: „Ja, ich denke, das muss ein Fokus sein. Donnarumma ist 26, er ist einer der besten Keeper der Welt – es wäre verrückt, wenn Man United nicht zuschlägt. Ich sehe da kein Risiko.“
Rooney erinnerte an die Unsicherheiten vergangener Tage: „Ich denke zurück an Roy Carroll und Tim Howard. Da war nie 100 Prozent Vertrauen von der Abwehr da.“ Aber als Edwin van der Sar kam, hat sich alles beruhigt. Die Verteidiger haben ihm voll vertraut.“
Und: „André Onana ist ein fantastischer Keeper, aber letztes Jahr hat er uns nicht mit Vertrauen erfüllt.“

Donnarumma-Aus bei PSG
Nachdem der Italiener aus dem Kader für den Uefa Super Cup gegen Tottenham bestätigte Donnarumma seinen Abgang selbst: „Leider hat jemand entschieden, dass ich nicht mehr Teil des Teams sein kann. Ich bin enttäuscht und niedergeschlagen.“
PSG-Coach Luis Enrique begründete seine Entscheidung: „Ich brauche einen Torwart mit einem anderen Profil.“
Auch Manchester City wird mit Donnarumma in Verbindung gebracht – besonders, da Ederson vor einem Wechsel zu Galatasaray stehen soll.
