A desperate measure for the Kansas City Chiefs in the preseason matches

It has been nothing short of a disaster for the Kansas City Chiefs this preseason, as the team continues to fall short of expectations. Winless so far, the Chiefs opened with a tough 20-17 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, followed by a heavy 33-16 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last Friday, raising concerns about their form ahead of the regular season.

The Chiefs have used much of the preseason to test new faces and evaluate possible replacements for key positions. However, most of the rookies and less experienced players have struggled to meet expectations, with only a few showing real promise. This lack of consistency could force head coach Andy Reid to start considering alternative strategies to turn things around before the regular season kicks off.

Andy Reid’s plan to fix the Chiefs’ preseason struggles

It is undeniable that the Chiefs boast one of the most powerful rosters in the NFL, filled with players who have already been crowned champions and know how to handle the pressure. Most of these stars are usually kept out of preseason action, focusing instead on training and preparation for the official start of the NFL season.

However, the next game against the Chicago Bears seems like the perfect opportunity to include quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, and defensive end Chris Jones, as the Chiefs look to secure their first preseason victory.

“Yeah, they’ll start it off for sure,” said Reid when asked about including his starters in the only preseason game at home. “And then we’ll see how it goes from there,” he added, leaving the door open for limited playing time depending on the game’s flow.

This will be an unusual decision by Andy Reid, taking into account that in the latest season, the starters were not included to play in the third preseason game. This change highlights Reid’s urgency to build momentum and confidence before the official kickoff of the NFL season.

The insight of of Andy Reid over some projected first teamers

“They’re trying to make the team. We got some guys that are right on the border of making it.” Said the head coach of the Chiefs regarding the opportunity of some possible players that might enter into starting roster of the Chiefs.

“And I wanted to see the quarterback work with the (starting) offensive line.” Reid explained, emphasizing the importance of building chemistry and rhythm between Mahomes and his protection unit ahead of the regular season.

For now, all eyes are on the Kansas City Chiefs as they prepare to defend their status as Super Bowl contenders. Their immediate focus, however, is on Friday’s preseason finale against the Chicago Bears, a final tune-up before opening the NFL regular season with a high-profile clash against the Los Angeles Rams.

Anyone can list the best players in the NBA, but basketball is as much about chemistry as it is talent. Why Tiger Woods still means so much to so many

Golf doesn’t do field stormings. Patrons tend to hold themselves to somewhat higher standards — or somewhat more restrained expressions of emotion — than college students. Politely applaud achievement from outside the ropes, that’s the customary golf way. Except for September 23, 2018. On that day, the final day of the 2017 Tour Championship, the golf world did indeed see a field storming. As Tiger Woods walked up the 18th green at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, just a few steps away from his first victory in five years, the gallery burst right through the flimsy barrier of rope and decorum. Thousands followed in Tiger’s wake, a reverential congregation delirious with joy, gratitude and communion wine in the form of $15 beers. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe delirium that ran through the crowd on that afternoon at East Lake was the kind of communal disbelief […]
