Daniel Jones’ first game as a starter with his new team will be against the Miami Dolphins on September 7, where he will look to have a season similar to 2022, when he led the Giants to the playoffs. The reality, however, is that this has been the only positive year in the NFL for the new Indianapolis quarterback.
The decision came as a result of the preseason competition, where Daniel Jones consistently looked better than Richardson, who is still dealing with injuries and questionable performance. In addition, Sports Illustrated reported that the Colts expect Jones to remain the starter throughout the season.
Robert Griffin III believes the Colts are going after Arch Manning
Obviously, the Indianapolis Colts’ decision to name Daniel Jones as the starting quarterback caused social media to explode, with many divided opinions-especially because, after a couple of years, the Colts gave up on Anthony Richardson.
One of the people upset with this decision was Robert Griffin III, who, frustrated with the situation, used his X account to suggest that with this move, the Colts are throwing away the season in order to go after Arch Manning in the next Draft.
However, if that truly is the plan for the Indianapolis Colts, it is very risky, because Archie Manning, Arch’s grandfather, revealed a few days ago that his grandson will play one more year with the Texas Longhorns. By the way, next Saturday, April 30, the Longhorns will face Ohio State, which promises to be an absolutely thrilling game to kick off the NCAA season.
