Shedeur Sanders‘ rise to stardom has gone well beyond the football field. The Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback has not only made headlines with his arm and athleticism, but his now-signature wristwatch celebration, a subtle flex that signals it’s “Shedeur time”, has taken on a life of its own in popular culture.
Over the weekend, that cultural wave rolled right into the heart of country music. While performing in Cleveland on Saturday night, country megastar Morgan Wallen gave a nod to Sanders by striking the wristwatch pose for the crowd as he made his entrance.
The gesture, originally made famous during Sanders’ time at Colorado under his father, Deion Sanders, sent the stadium crowd into a frenzy.
