Corinthians e Santos sofreram derrotas em casa no último fim de semana que voltaram a complicar a situação dos dois times na luta contra o rebaixamento no Brasileirão. O Timão foi superado pelo Bahia em casa enquanto o Peixe foi goleado pelo o Vasco no Morumbis.
Com isso, ambos terminam a 20ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro com mais de 25% de chances de queda para a Série B. Já o Vasco, com a vitória elástica frente o Peixe, saiu do Z4, mas ainda segue com mais de 31% de chances de queda, enquanto o Fortaleza, que sofreu mais uma derrota na competição, terminou a rodada com mais de 70% de chances de rebaixamento.
Por outro lado, o São Paulo, que chegou a estar próximo das últimas posições, melhorou sua situação sob o comando do técnico Crespo. O Tricolor paulista terminou a 20ª rodada com pouco mais de 1% de chances de disputar a Série B em 2026.

Confronto direto entre Vasco e Corinthians
No próximo domingo (24), o Gigante da Colina recebe o Timão às 16h em São Januário em duelo que pode mudar a situação das duas equipes na luta contra o rebaixamento. A equipe paulista hoje ocupa a 14ª colocação, com 22 pontos, três a mais que o Vitória, 17º e primeiro no Z4.
Já o Vasco está na 16ª posição, com a mesma pontuação do time rubro-negro, mas com mais triunfos que a equipe baiana (5 a 3). Porém o clube carioca poderá estar em melhor situação para o duelo do fim de semana. Isso porque na próxima quarta-feira (20), o Gigante da Colina visita o Juventude às 19h, em duelo adiado da 14ª rodada.
Caso vença o clube gaúcho, o Vasco chegará aos mesmos 22 pontos do Corinthians, mas com uma vitória a mais. Dessa forma, a equipe carioca irá assumir a 14ª colocação se conseguir os três pontos frente o Jaconero.
