Řeší se u něj zdravotní potíže, které nebudeme specifikovat. Má to celé ale vývoj, nejbližší dny rozhodnou, jestli s námi v pondělí na šampionát do Rigy odletí,“ řekl asistent trenéra Jan Šotnar.
Na rozdíl od mnichovského Supercupu už ale byl k dispozici Jaromír Bohačík a se šestnácti body se ukázal jako platný hráč, navíc to byl on, kdo přispěje do týmové pokladny za dosažení magické stovky.

Český tým s bouřlivou podporou z pardubického hlediště držel prakticky celý zápas vedení a povedená byla z jeho strany hlavně druhá čtvrtina, na jejíž závěr předvedl devítibodovou šňůru.
Ocampovi svěřenci si pod taktovkou Víta Krejčího vybudovali náskok několika trefenými trojkami a dobrým útočným doskokem pod koš. Celkově proměnili patnáct z třiceti střel z perimetru.
Dvouciferný rozdíl ve skóre vydržel i během prostřídání ve třetím dějství. Zápas, v němž převažovaly útočné choutky nad pečlivostí v obraně, ale dohrávaly v českém dresu všechny klíčové opory. Byla znát touha reprezentantů napsat vítěznou tečku za přípravou.
Do mistrovství Evropy vstoupí Češi ve středu 27. srpna proti Portugalsku. V základní skupině na ně čekají ještě Turecko, Estonsko, Srbsko a domácí Lotyšsko.
