The 80th Vuelta de España will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,151 kilometers winding through Italy, Spain, Andorra and France. The 2025 Vuelta begins on August 23 in Turin, Italy and will finish three weeks later in the Spanish capital of Madrid. Two notably absent riders at this year’s race are last year’s champion, Slovenia’s Primož Roglič, and 2025 Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar who stated after his win in France, “The body is telling me to rest.” Riders who do plan to race include 2023 winner Sepp Kuss, Jonas Vingegaard, and Matteo Jorgenson.
