Neuer Berater, neues Vertrauen, neue Zukunft?
Frenkie de Jong (28) und der FC Barcelona nähern sich einander wieder an. Wie u.a. die spanische Zeitung „Mundo Deportivo“ berichtet, hat Barça dem Mittelfeldstrategen ein neues Vertrags-Angebot gemacht. Der aktuelle Kontrakt des Holländers läuft noch bis Sommer 2026, doch nun sollen zwei weitere Jahre plus eine leistungsabhängige Option auf ein drittes Jahr folgen.
Hintergrund: Im November 2024 hatte der Klub ein erstes Angebot zurückgezogen – weil die Beziehung zu de Jongs damaligem Berater zerrüttet war. Sowohl von Seiten des Klubs, als auch von de Jong selbst. Schon damals hatte Barça ein Angebot über drei Jahre vorgelegt. Doch der Berater reagierte nie. Der Klub zog das Angebot zurück. De Jong fühlte sich von seinem langjährigen Vertrauten hintergangen – und zog die Reißleine.
[–>Jetzt ist alles anders: Mit dem renommierten Anwalt und Sportagenten Sebastien Ledure (Cresta Sports) hat de Jong einen neuen Vertreter. Und der kam sofort ins Handeln: Treffen mit Sportdirektor Deco (47), klärendes Gespräch – laut Barça-nahen Quellen mit „positivem Grundton“.

Der Klub möchte den Mittelfeldmotor halten, der sich unter Trainer Hansi Flick (60) wieder in Topform zeigt – vor allem im zentralen Duo mit Pedri (22). Und de Jong selbst hat offenbar wieder Vertrauen in die sportliche und persönliche Perspektive bei den Katalanen gefasst.
Barças Präsident Joan Laporta (63) schwärmt ohnehin regelmäßig von ihm: „Ich war immer ein großer Fan von Frenkie. Er ist ein Spieler mit Barça-DNA. Er kommt aus der Ajax-Schule. Er ist sehr enthusiastisch, und wir sind fest entschlossen, alles zu tun, damit er bleibt.“
Die Entscheidung rückt näher. Sollte Barça kurzfristig finanziellen Spielraum brauchen, etwa fürs „Financial Fairplay“, könnte die Verlängerung sogar schneller über die Bühne gehen – wie schon bei Jules Koundé (26).
