Die Knappen drehen gegen den VfL Bochum ein 0:1 in ein 2:1 – dank eines Doppelschlags binnen vier Minuten. Am Ende ist es Joker Bryan Lasme (79.), der Königsblau erlöst.
Ausgerechnet Lasme!
Trainer Miron Muslic brachte den Franzosen in der 71. Minute – acht Minuten später schoss er die Arena in Ekstase. Pikant: Lasme war 2023 ablösefrei aus Bielefeld gekommen, enttäuschte bislang und sollte eigentlich verkauft werden. Doch wie schon im Pokal in Leipzig, als er in der Verlängerung das Siegtor machte, ist er erneut der Matchwinner. Aus dem „Soll-weg-Spieler“ könnte jetzt ein unverzichtbarer Angreifer werden.
Ausgleich wie aus dem Nichts
Bochum war in Führung gegangen: Nach einer Parade von Karius staubte Gerrit Holtmann zum 0:1 ab (65.). Doch Schalke schlug zurück. Hasan Kuruçay fälschte einen Schuss des erst am Vortag verpflichteten Finn Porath unhaltbar ab – 1:1 (75.). Nur vier Minuten später sorgte Lasme für das 2:1.
Karius pariert Elfer
Schon in der 24. Minute hätte es bitter für S04 werden können: Handspiel von Kuruçay, Elfmeter für Bochum! Doch Kevin Vogt scheiterte an Keeper Loris Karius, der cool die rechte Ecke ahnte. Der VfL damit zum zweiten Mal in Folge vom Punkt erfolglos – schon im Pokal hatte Bero verschossen.
Prominente Augenzeugen
Vor den Augen von Trainer-Legende Otto Rehhagel und Ex-Knipser Klaas-Jan Huntelaar blieb die erste Hälfte torlos. Antwi-Adjei hatte kurz vor der Pause die große Chance für Schalke, scheiterte aber an VfL-Keeper Timo Horn (45.+3).
Starker Start für Königsblau
Nach dem Rückstand kämpfte sich Schalke mit Wucht zurück, drehte die Partie – und feiert nach drei Spieltagen sechs Punkte. Ein Auftakt, der Mut macht.

Manchester United survived Dominique Janssen's controversial red card to continue their 100 per cent start to life in the Champions League with a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid.Fridolina Rolfo had given the visitors the lead with her first goal for the club after an impressive opening 25 minutes, but United were left shellshocked just before half-time after Janssen was given her marching orders following a VAR review.
