While the Cleveland Browns‘ quarterback battle is settled, the team still wanted to get a long look at its top options in preseason Week 3.
Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders all handled several drives. And then, ironically enough, roster longshot Tyler Huntley led the team down the field for the game-winning field goal as time expired, securing a 19-17 victory over the Los Angeles Rams to close out the preseason.
Flacco finished a solid 9-of-10 for 71 yards and a touchdown, and Gabriel operated excellently in a two-minute drill to give the Browns a 16-7 lead at halftime. Sanders’ performance was less ideal. He took five sacks and completed three passes for only 14 yards.
On the Rams‘ side, quarterback Dresser Winn went the distance and the defense racked up six sacks.

PLAYER OF THE GAME
Former second-round pick Teven Jenkins, who signed a one-year deal with the Browns this offseason, put up a solid effort despite the overall mishaps for Cleveland’s offensive line. He didn’t allow any pressure across 21 pass-blocking snaps and earned a positive grade on 57.1% of his run-blocking snaps — the highest clip in the game, pending reviews.
