Em meio à flagrante má fase, potencializada pelas eliminações nas copas e por mais uma derrota no Brasileirão, o Internacional ainda ganhou o desfalque do atacante Rafael Borré por expulsão direta no jogo perdido por 2×1 para o Cruzeiro, fora de casa, neste sábado. Na reta final do segundo tempo, o colombiano acertou Christian por trás e ganhou vermelho do árbitro Matheus Candançan sem nem precisar contar com auxílio do VAR.
Porém, a comentarista de arbitragem dos canais ESPN, Renata Ruel, observou uma situação que absolveria Borré na jogada. Segundo ela, o jogador cruzeirense puxa o colombiano antes e comete falta primeiro, que não foi assinalada pela arbitragem. A partir disso, o centroavante colorado tem a reação de acertar o oponente.
“Se o árbitro tivesse marcado falta do Christian no Borré, não teria ocorrido a sequência da jogada para a expulsão. Foi falta do Cruzeiro primeiro, errou a arbitragem. Mas, como não foi marcada, o lance do jogador do Inter realmente era para vermelho”, destacou Renata em suas redes.

O árbitro de campo desta partida colocou na súmula oficial do jogo, já disponível para consulta no site da CBF, o motivo da expulsão do atacante do Internacional. Segundo o juiz, Borré utilizou “força excessiva” na disputa de bola, abrindo margem para acertar o adversário e receber o cartão vermelho.
