Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are opening a steakhouse called 1587 Prime inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel, a name that nods to their jersey numbers, Mahomes‘ 15 and Kelce‘s 87.
While the restaurant has yet to officially open its doors, anticipation is already soaring. When pre-bookings went live on August 20, reservations were snapped up almost instantly.

A grand opening with Chiefs flavor
Among those securing a seat was former Chiefs lineman and Super Bowl champion Mitchell Schwartz, who revealed the elaborate invitation he received on Instagram.
The invite came in the form of a football engraved with the 1587 Prime logo, signed by both Mahomes and Kelce, and encased in glass within a presentation box inscribed with “You’re invited.”
Schwartz couldn’t resist poking fun at the gesture, noting that despite years of sharing the field with Mahomes and Kelce, this was the first time he’d ever collected both of their autographs and it took a steakhouse launch to make it happen.
What to expect at 1587 Prime
The restaurant aims to match the scale of its founders’ success on the field with a sprawling 10,000-square-foot space spread across two floors.
According to early details, guests can expect a “multi-sensory dining experience” complete with a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, a striking meat display, private dining rooms, and an extensive wine collection.
The concept is designed to feel as big and bold as the careers of its celebrity owners, positioning 1587 Prime as a potential landmark in Kansas City’s dining scene.
A milestone date
The timing of the opening couldn’t be more symbolic. The restaurant will officially welcome its first guests on September 17, the same day Patrick Mahomes turns 30.
For the quarterback, the milestone birthday marks a turning point both personally and professionally, as he continues to grow his brand beyond football.
Kelce, too, has been steadily broadening his portfolio with media appearances, endorsements, and business ventures. Their joint steakhouse signals the evolution of a partnership that extends well beyond Arrowhead Stadium.
