Celta y Betis se anulan en Balaídos

Los dos equipos que representarán a LaLiga esta temporada en la UEFA Europa League, competición cuya primera fecha de la fase de liguilla, por coincidencia de fechas, les ha obligado a adelantar su partido de la sexta jornada del campeonato liguero, se anularon mutuamente esta noche en Balaídos. El Betis se puso por delante antes del descanso con un gol de Bartra de cabeza en un córner y el Celta respondió también tras un lanzamiento desde la esquina para empatar por medio de Hugo Álvarez. Un 1-1 que parece servirle más a los de Pellegrini, invictos después de tres partidos, con un triunfo y dos empates, que a los de Giráldez, que aún no han ganado esta temporada, con dos empates y una derrota.

El comienzo del duelo fue algo distinto de lo esperado. Después de un cuarto de hora de dominio infructuoso del Betis ante un Celta algo desubicado sin balón, un disparo del Cucho Hernández desde la frontal tras un gran reverso, que salió rozando la madera, desató las hostilidades en Balaídos. Los de Giráldez respondieron en un córner que Javi Rodríguez, completamente solo, remató fuera de cabeza, y con una rápida transición al primer toque en la que Borja Iglesias buscó a Pablo Durán a la espalda de Natan, obligando a Álvaro Valles a intervenir.

Desde mayo del pasado año no jugaba un partido oficial el guardameta de La Rinconada, que aguantó un año en la grada del Estadio de Gran Canaria para cumplir su sueño de volver al conjunto verdiblanco. Hoy tuvo su primera oportunidad por una lesión de Pau López en un partido entre dos equipos de Europa League que transcurría sin excesivos sobresaltos más allá de un pisotón a Riquelme en el área en el que era su rival quien tenía la pelota controlada, descartando así la pena máxima.

Los de Pellegrini tenían el partido bastante controlado y jugaban la mayor parte del tiempo en campo rival. Aunque, curiosamente, su ocasión más clara llegó a la contra, tras un robo a Ilaix Moriba en la salida desde atrás del Celta que el Cucho Hernández convirtió en un pase muy peligro a Lo Celso. El argentino no llegó a tiempo ante Radu, pero la pelota le cayó a Riquelme, cuyo remate tuvo que sacar la defensa bajo palos para evitar el gol.

Dos transiciones inconclusas de Lo Celso y Durán parecían cerrar el primer tiempo. Pero con el tiempo cumplido, Bartra aprovechó un córner lanzado por Lo Celso desde el costado izquierdo del ataque de su equipo para elevarse por encima de la defensa y cabecear el balón al fondo de la red. Javi Rodríguez perdió la marca y el central catalán estrenó su cuenta goleadora del curso poniendo al Betis en ventaja y marcando un tanto de esos que se dicen psicológicos, justo antes del descanso.

Movimiento táctico y reacción del Celta

A Claudio Giráldez no le gustó demasiado su equipo en los primeros 45 minutos. Tanto es así que movió el banquillo en el intermedio con un cambio de nombre… y de sistema. Javi Rueda, goleador en Mallorca en la primera jornada del campeonato, sustituyó a Williot Swedberg situándose en el lateral derecho, mandando a Mingueza a la izquierda y liberando a Hugo Sotelo para moverse en posiciones más avanzadas, entre líneas.

Es difícil saber si este movimiento en el tablero tuvo o no que ver, pero lo cierto es que el conjunto celeste arrancó la segunda parte con mucho ímpetu, llegando arriba y forzando un par de situaciones de peligro. En apenas un par de minutos los gallegos gozaron de dos opciones a balón parado, desde el córner, y en la segunda, un balón que Valles sacó de puños a la frontal, lo cazó de volea Hugo Álvarez para batir entre las piernas al portero bético, que no lo vio llegar entre una nube de piernas.

Fueron minutos de sufrimiento para los de Pellegrini, que habían perdido el control de la situación. El Panda, con su juego de espaldas a portería, le daba a los de Giráldez la pausa necesaria para llegar con gente arriba. Y por si fueran pocos los problemas para los verdiblancos, Ruibal, uno de sus ‘pulmones’ por la banda, cayó lesionado. Pero en su lugar entró Pablo García, uno de los talentos que vienen, cuya presencia pareció revitalizar a un Betis que poco a poco fue reencontrándose.

A menos de 20 minutos del final, ambos técnicos trataron de darle oxígeno a sus equipos moviendo sus banquillos. El Celta metió ‘pólvora’ arriba con Aspas y Bryan;  Pellegrini, a falta de alternativas en el puesto, volvió a apostar por Valentín Gómez como pivote y le dio una nueva oportunidad al Chimy y Bakambu, que no terminan de engancharse. Unos cambios que parecieron sentarle mejor al conjunto celeste, que acabó el partido atacando.

El Chimy se encaró con Gil Manzano después de recibir un plantillazo en la frontal que el colegiado extremeño no vio y en el que permitió la contra del Celta poco después de haber parado una de Pablo García en una situación similar. Un paradón de Valles a Jutglà, que estaba en fuera de juego, una acción en la que Aspas pidió penalti del Chimy y una contra desperdiciada por el delantero catalán, fueron las últimas acciones de un partido en el que el Betis fue mejor en la primera parte y el Celta en la segunda, cerrando con un punto cada uno esta fecha adelantada.
