River Plate e Palmeiras estarão frente a frente nos dias 17 e 24 de setembro pelas quartas de final da Libertadores. Em entrevista coletiva, Marcelo Gallardo foi perguntado sobre as dificuldades que esperava ter diante de um Verdão que mais uma vez foi dono da melhor campanha na fase de grupos e é apontado por muitos como um dos favoritos ao título continental.
Assim como em outros posicionamentos, o treinador argentino destacou as qualidades do time comandado por Abel Ferreira e concorda quando colocam os brasileiros entre os candidatos. Entretanto, o ex-jogador projeta uma série difícil também para o rival palestrino e acredita que os Millonarios estarão em um nível competitivo.
“O Palmeiras também não quer jogar contra a gente. Todo mundo aqui está falando do Palmeiras, mas lá no Brasil também estão falando do River Plate. Vai ser muito equilibrado”, relatou Gallardo após a classificação da equipe para as quartas de final da Copa Argentina.
Gallardo vê Palmeiras forte
Na semana passada, Gallardo admitiu que espera um adversário complicado pela frente e também colocou o Palmeiras como um dos favoritos na Libertadores. Diferentemente do Verdão que atropelou seu rival nas oitavas, o River Plate precisou dos pênaltis para superar o Libertad, do Paraguai.
”Vamos enfrentar um rival (Palmeiras), que é um rival candidato ao título. E nós vamos enfrentá-los e vamos chegar da melhor maneira possível, com muita expectativa de que vamos chegar melhor do que estamos hoje”, declarou.
Apesar dos apuros, Gallardo prometeu que o River está fortalecido para os dois jogos com o Verdão, sobretudo com o retorno de atletas que estão no departamento médico. Vale lembrar que o primeiro duelo será no Monumental de Núñez, com o Palmeiras decidindo a série no Allianz Parque.
Final da Libertadores
Na base do palpite, Flávio Prado imagina que a decisão da Libertadores mais uma vez reunirá dois times brasileiros. Apesar da força dos argentinos, como também o Racing, o jornalista da Jovem Pan projeta um novo Palmeiras e Flamengo. Ele, inclusive, aponta o Rubro-Negro levando a melhor sobre o Verdão.
“O Flamengo é favorito ao título. Se ele jogar tudo que mostrou diante do Internacional, ele é favorito ao título com certa facilidade. Agora, a gente sabe que isso não existe, não é toda hora que você joga assim, analisou Flávio Prado.
