Em busca de um substituto para Cuca, o Atlético-MG abriu conversas com o Luis Zubeldía, ex-São Paulo. A informação foi publicada pela ESPN. De acordo com o veículo, o Galo e o treinador argentino tiveram uma reunião nesse sábado para que o projeto seja apresentado.
Zubeldía está no mercado desde o dia 16 de junho, quando foi demitido do São Paulo. Ele ficou no Tricolor por mais de um ano. Foram 85 jogos no total. O argentino é um dos nomes que agradam à diretoria do Atlético-MG, porém outros profissionais como Pedro Caixinha e Pedro Martins também são analisados.
Casagrande vê Zubeldía como melhor decisão
A demissão de Cuca acontece logo depois do Atlético-MG ser derrotado em casa para o Cruzeiro, pelas quartas de final da Copa do Brasil. Foram 47 partidas nessa quarta passagem pelo clube, 22 vitórias, 13 empates e 12 derrotas. Em sua coluna, Casagrande analisou os profissionais cogitados pelo Galo e apontou Zubeldía como a melhor opção.
“Agora surgem alguns nomes como Jorge Sampaoli, Ramon Díaz e Pedro Caixinha como favoritos, mas também há Luís Zubeldía correndo por fora, que, para mim, seria o ideal para o Galo”, afirmou Casagrande.
Torcedores reprovam Zubeldía
A torcida do Atlético-MG já deixou claro à diretoria qual é o treinador que eles desejam que seja contratado. Trata-se de Jorge Sampaoli. Cartazes, faixas e campanhas já foram realizadas contra as investidas em Pedro Caixinha e Zubeldía. Dessa vez, com o avanço pelo ex-técnico do São Paulo, novamente houve reprovação na web.
“Não é bem vindo aqui, caça outro rumo”, escreveu um torcedor. Até o momento, porém, a diretoria do Galo não fez qualquer tipo de investida por Jorge Sampaoli, que também está livre no mercado.
