Ainda sem apresentar um futebol convincente e capaz de gerar otimismo no seu torcedor, o Internacional ao menos voltou a vencer e aplicou 2×1 em casa no Fortaleza, neste domingo, pelo Brasileirão, gerando um respiro para o técnico Roger Machado no cargo. Depois da partida, durante a sua coletiva de imprensa, ele mostrou alívio pela vitória e tentou pregar um discurso positivo para a sequência:
“Hoje o importante era vencer. Os três pontos eram fundamentais para seguirmos evoluindo nesse momento de outra parada. O momento que estamos passando é predominante. Isso tira o nosso torcedor do estádio. O que vai fazer o torcedor voltar são os resultados positivos e as boas atuações”, comentou Roger.
Ainda muito magoado pelos recentes resultados, especialmente pelas quedas na Copa do Brasil e na Libertadores, o torcedor colorado foi em baixo número para o Beira-Rio neste domingo. E ainda vaiou alguns nomes, como o próprio técnico Roger Machado:
“O torcedor que vaiou hoje o meu nome é o mesmo que me aplaudiu de pé na final do Gauchão. O torcedor volta com as vitórias. É trabalhar para buscar alternativas nesse momento de parada de Data-Fifa”, acrescentou o comandante.
Menor público do ano
Também pelo horário considerado ruim, já que o jogo iniciou às 20h30 de um domingo, o Internacional conviveu com o seu pior público na temporada de 2025, mesmo somando jogos iniciais de Gauchão. No total, apenas 9.099 torcedores estiveram presentes na vitória de 2×1 para cima do Fortaleza.
“A gente necessitava muito dessa vitória. Vínhamos numa maré ruim. O resultado foi importante para dar confiança para, se Deus quiser, embalarmos no campeonato e irmos para as cabeças. Todo time passa por momentos ruins. Estamos passando, mas essa vitória foi importante para virar a chave”, alegou o atacante Vitinho, autor do gol da vitória, pós-jogo.
Internacional enfrenta o Palmeiras na volta do campeonato
Com a vitória alcançada sobre o Fortaleza, o Internacional pulou para 27 pontos no 10° lugar da tabela de classificação do Brasileirão. O próximo jogo acontecerá apenas depois da Data-Fifa, no dia 13, um sábado, a partir das 18h30, fora de casa, contra o Palmeiras. O atacante Rafael Borré retornará de suspensão e volta a ser alternativa.

Williams have lodged a right of review request over Carlos Sainz's controversial penalty for colliding with Liam Lawson at the Dutch Grand Prix.Sainz tried to overtake Lawson around the outside at Turn 1 on a Safety Car restart with the pair battling for the points positions, but they made contact and both drivers received punctures.
