A contratação de Jorge Sampaoli pelo Atlético-MG foi vista com bons olhos pelo comentarista Bruno Formiga, novo reforço do Grupo Globo. Entretanto, ele mostrou receio com o trabalho do técnico argentino sob o comando do Flamengo, onde foi vice da Copa do Brasil e viveu polêmica com seu preparador físico.
“A última impressão, o trabalho dele no Flamengo, é muito ruim. Muito ruim. E assim, com peças que eram bem melhores do que hoje o Galo apresenta. O elenco não é ruim. Eu não gosto de usar o termo ‘obrigação’ no futebol para nada, mas eu acho que o Galo poderia jogar muito mais do que está jogando. E eu acho que o impacto inicial do Sampaoli vai ter mudança”, disse Formiga.
“Nos primeiros quatro, cinco jogos, eu acho que vai dar um choque ali e pode ser que a coisa engrene. Porque o Sampaoli também é um fio desencapado”, completou.
Sampaoli no Atlético-MG é boa contratação?
Bruno Formiga também relembrou o trabalho de Jorge Sampaoli pelo Santos, onde foi vice-campeão brasileiro, e também no próprio Atlético-MG. Ele comandou o Galo em 2020. Para o comentarista da Globo, a contratação merece nota 7,5.
“No Santos, teve um entedimento muito legal. Adorava a cidade, ia (para os treinos) de bicicleta e a coisa ornou. No Atlético, acho que funcionou durante um tempo, depois a relação desandou um pouco. Acho que foi uma passagem ok”, disse.
“Eu daria uma nota 7,5 para essa contratação, pelo risco do trabalho dele no Flamengo. Se tivesse pulado daquilo para a Europa, eu achava que era 8,5. Mas a passagem no Flamengo deixou uma impressão muito ruim”, acrescentou Bruno Formiga.
Como foi a primeira passagem Sampaoli no Galo?
O técnico argentino comandou o Atlético-MG entre março de 2020 e fevereiro de 2021. Foram 45 partidas no total, sendo 26 vitórias, oito empates e dez derrotas. Um aproveitamento de 63,7%. Na ocasião, ele conquistou o título do Mineiro e foi terceiro colocado do Brasileirão com três pontos a menos que o campeão Flamengo.
