Oceláři se dostali do vedení v polovině úvodní části, kdy se prosadil Ondřej Kovařík. Ve 14. minutě sice vyrovnal v přesilové hře Tomáš Královič, ale 117 sekund před první pauzou také v přesilové hře opět skóroval Ondřej Kovařčík. Po 41 vteřinách prostřední třetiny odpověděl Ján Petriska, vzápětí dovršil Ondřej Kovařčík hattrick a za 12 sekund uzavřel výsledek David Cienciala. Do extraligy vstoupí Oceláři ve středu doma proti Olomouci.

Karlovarští otevřeli skóre ve 3. minutě díky brance obránce Adama Rulíka, který nastoupil ve čtvrtém útoku. Plzeň vyrovnala 17 sekund před koncem první třetiny, kdy využil přesilovou hru Jan Schleiss. V čase 54:06 vrátil Energii vedení v početní výhodě pěti proti třem Ondřej Beránek a v pokračující klasické přesilovce pojistil náskok Jan Šír. Výsledek pečetil 20 vteřin před koncem v power play do prázdné branky Filip Koffer. Karlovy Vary odstartují sezonu ve středu doma proti Vítkovicím, Plzeň se představí v Liberci.

V Chrudimi se jako první prosadil záložní tým Dynama, v čase 4:15 jej dostal do vedení Dominik Hrníčko. Stav otočil brankami ve 14. a 18. minutě Patrik Poulíček. V polovině utkání zvýšil náskok Jan Stránský a po 130 sekundách závěrečné části upravil Tomáš Vondráček už na 4:1. Za 15 sekund sice zkorigoval skóre Štěpán Rájek, ale ve 46. minutě odpověděl z trestného střílení Lukáš Sedlák. Za 68 sekund skóroval za prvoligový výběr ještě Tomáš Urban, poslední slovo však měl 21 sekund před koncem Jan Mandát. Pardubice čeká za šest dnů v extralize doma derby s Hradcem Králové.
