The trendy video on the internet featured Dak Prescott speaking to his team during a pre-game gathering. While the majority of the players were involved and engaged, Diggs was noticed turning and walking away, leading to accusations by fans that he was “checking out.”
On the least toxic social media platform ‘X‘, fans vented their anger. Some called for Jones to do something, one of them simply saying, “Trade that clown already.” Others attributed the moment to a broader problem of team culture and accountability.
Not the first time for Diggs
This is not the first controversy surrounding Diggs. The cornerback, who spent most of the offseason recovering from a serious knee injury, was fined earlier this season after reportedly missing parts of his rehab regimen. That altercation had him butting heads with the Cowboys front office, fueling fan outrage.
Even though Diggs is still Dallas’s best defensive player, the charge of apathy in the huddle has generated to some questions about his real commitment and leadership within the team.

As general manager and owner, Jerry Jones has the total power over roster decisions. While there has not been any words from the Cowboys regarding discipline, the magnitude of the fan reaction puts pressure specifically on Jones to act in consequence.
