25. Mai 2013. Bayern-Fans lieben diesen Tag. Da macht sich ein Holländer im roten Trikot unsterblich: Arjen Robben schießt den Rekordmeister gegen Dortmund zum Champions-League-Titel. Krönt sich zu „Mr. Wembley“, sorgt mit seinem Tor noch heute für Gänsehaut bei den rot-weißen Fans.
Doch jetzt kommt ein spannendes Detail über den einstigen Fan-Liebling heraus: Robben hätte noch viel früher in München landen können!

Der ehemalige Vorstandsvorsitzende Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (70) in der BR-Sendung „Blickpunkt Sport“: „Ich kann mich erinnern: Ich wollte mit dem Uli mal den Arjen Robben verpflichten, da war er noch bei der PSV Eindhoven. Wir haben wirklich alles getan. Wir haben uns mit dem Vater getroffen, wir haben mit dem Jungen telefoniert.“
Doch Robben entschied sich anders, wechselte 2007 für 18 Mio. Euro Ablöse zu Chelsea und 2007 für 35 Mio. Euro weiter zu Real Madrid. Erst 2009 folgte er dem Lockruf aus München, kam für 25 Mio. Euro an die Säbener Straße.
Rummenigge: „Wir haben immer an den Spieler geglaubt. Ich habe immer zum Vater Kontakt gehalten. Als es dann möglich war, ihn von Real zu Bayern zu holen, haben wir ihn geholt.“

Ein Transfer, der sich auszahlte. Robben blieb zehn Jahre in München, wurde zur Vereinslegende. 309 Pflichtspiele, 144 Tore und 100 Vorlagen. Seine Titel? Unter anderem acht Meisterschaften, fünf Pokalsiege und eben dieser Champions-League-Sieg. Für Robben persönlich der mit Abstand wichtigste Titel, wenn man sich an seine Vorgeschichte mit den Bayern-Fans erinnert.
Rückblick: In der Saison 2011/12 verschießt Robben im Meisterschaftsspiel gegen Dortmund und im Champions-League-Finale gegen Chelsea je einen Elfmeter. Die Folge? Robben wird zum Sündenbock gemacht, danach in der Allianz Arena ausgepfiffen.
Ein Jahr später wird ausgerechnet er zu „Mr. Wembley“!
Und heute? Nach seinem Bayern-Abschied 2019 spielte er noch eine Zeit lang für seinen Jugendklub, ehe er 2021 seine Fußball-Karriere beendete. Zuletzt gab Robben sein Profi-Debüt als Paddle-Spieler.
