Casagrande rebate Ceni sobre o estilo de jogo do Palmeiras

O comentarista Walter Casagrande Jr. criticou as declarações de Rogério Ceni, técnico do Bahia, a respeito do estilo de jogo do Palmeiras. Ceni havia ironizado a forma de atuar do time de Abel Ferreira, sugerindo que o Palmeiras se baseava apenas em “ligações diretas” após a vitória do Bahia na Fonte Nova.

Casagrande, no entanto, defendeu o Palmeiras, afirmando que Ceni “errou completamente a mão” em sua avaliação. Segundo o ex-jogador, a percepção de Ceni sobre o Palmeiras estaria desatualizada, ignorando a evolução recente da equipe. 

O comentarista destacou que o time alviverde tem praticado um futebol “de pé em pé”, com jogadas trabalhadas e enfiadas de bola, além de manter a opção das ligações diretas como uma arma adicional.

“Quando o Rogério Ceni deu uma entrevista no final de semana, de um jeito irônico, meio debochado, que é a característica dele, sorrisinho sarcástico, opiniões provocativas, e aí ele errou completamente a mão, ele passou da realidade. Porque quando ele disse que o campo estava pior para nós, porque nós jogamos de pé em pé e o Palmeiras só faz ligação direta, esse já era um passado do Palmeiras que não estava mais acontecendo.” 

O comentarista ressaltou ainda o desempenho do Palmeiras no início das partidas, descrevendo-o como “espetacular em quase todos os jogos”, com a equipe marcando gols e criando jogadas incríveis. Para Casagrande, o Palmeiras tem sido “mais agradável” de assistir atualmente.

O polêmico comentário de Rogério Ceni foi feito na vitória do Bahia por 1 a 0 sobre o Palmeiras. O treinador respondeu uma pergunta na coletiva sobre as críticas do gramado por parte do Alviverde.

– Acho que a cor estava muito feia. Para o Palmeiras, é melhor gramado ruim porque só fazem ligação direta, quase. A característica de jogo deles é Weverton-Flaco-Vitor Roque. A gente prejudica mais porque joga desde trás do chão. Também gostaríamos que o gramado tivesse em melhor condição, mas acho que atrapalhou mais para nós. Sobre lesão, me desculpa, mas para quem joga em gramado sintético reclamar de lesão em gramado natural, aí fica feio. E paro por aqui, vamos valorizar nossa vitória e não vamos esconder a derrota do adversário em cima de um campo que oferecia minimamente condição. Não é o ideal? Concordo. Mas lesão muscular na conta do gramado é demais – completou.

Palmeiras rebate Ceni

Não foi só Casagrande que se manifestou contrário a Ceni. O diretor de futebol do Palmeiras, Anderson Barros criticou o postura do treinador do Bahia em entrevista ao portal Ge:

“Quanto à crítica do treinador do Bahia sobre a forma como supostamente o Palmeiras joga, não vale perder tempo. Os títulos que o clube conquistou sob o comando da comissão técnica do Abel demonstram a excelência do trabalho desenvolvido. A declaração do senhor Rogério Ceni entra em uma questão ética complicada e eu acho que ele deveria repensá-la”, disparou.

Já Abel Ferreira adotou postura diferente. O treinador do Palmeiras tratou de colocar panos quentes no assunto e só elogiou o colega de profissão.

”Eu vou ser coerente com aquilo que eu disse até mesmo antes do jogo. Eu tenho muito respeito e consideração pelo Rogério Ceni. Eu disse antes do jogo que é um dos melhores técnicos brasileiros, é meu colega de profissão. Eu sei o quão difícil é. O meu foco não é comentar, é uma opinião dele. Respeito, admiro muito e sei o quão difícil é ser profissional nessa profissão. Ele é meu colega de profissão. Não é só com o Rogério Ceni que eu tenho muito respeito e admiração, mas com todos os brasileiros”, disse.
