Un anuncio que curiosamente coincide con su primer entrenamiento completo a las órdenes de Simeone y que ha sido recibido por sorpresa en el club rojiblanco, pues el centrocampista aún no cuenta con el alta médica.
Cabe recordar que Almada se ha perdido los seis partidos disputados por el Atlético desde su lesión (Villarreal, Liverpool, Mallorca, Rayo, Real Madrid y Eintracht) y que no fue hasta este pasado jueves cuando se unió por primera a los entrenamientos con el grupo, aunque fuera de forma parcial. Sin embargo, tras ejercitarse con aparente normalidad en la jornada matinal de este viernes, desde Argentina no han dudado a llamarlo filas.

Una citación con la que no se contaba en el Atlético, pues la idea inicial es que Almada ni siquiera viajara a Balaídos este fin de semana para medirse al Celta y que pudiera aprovechar estas dos próximas semanas para acabar de recuperarse por completo. De ahí que la llamada de Scaloni, que lo tiene entre sus fijos de cara al Mundial del próximo verano, haya supuesto un imprevisto. Tanto es así que las próximas horas serán decisivas para tomar una decisión definitiva y analizar la conveniencia de que el centrocampista acuda con su selección sin estar plenamente recuperado.
