The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without running back Bucky Irving on Sunday as they get set to face the Seattle Seahawks.
Irving, 23, has been dealing with a foot sprain suffered last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. The second-year running back out of Oregon has not practice this week and has been wearing a walking boot on his left foot. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles had said for Irving to have a chance to play against the Seahawks he would have to be out of the boot by Friday.

Through four games this season, Irving has 237 rushing yards on 71 attempts and 19 receptions for 193 yards and two touchdowns.
Along with Irving, cornerbacks Jamel Dean and Benjamin Morrison, safety Christian Izien and wide receiver Mike Evans have also been ruled out.
Rachaad White, Sean Tucker and Josh Williams will be part of the Tampa backfield as they look to improve to 4-1.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield was an injury concern earlier this week after dealing with knee and biceps injuries, but was a full participant in Thursday’s practice. When asked about the possibility of not having Irving on Sunday, he said he was confident in the Buccaneers’ backfield depth.

“I mean, yeah, having a lot of reps with Rachaad and you guys have seen what [Tucker] has been able to do, as well, with his speed — it’s elite,” Mayfield said, via ESPN’s Jenna Laine. “But yeah, just getting back to what we had prior to Bucky and then you add in a guy like Josh Williams if Bucky is not able to go. … [He’s ] a guy that I told you guys during training camp that I really, really liked. [He’s a] smart kid, knows exactly what we’re trying to get done.
“So, it’s not the same without ‘Buck’ because he brings a different spark to it and those explosive plays that you guys have seen for two years now that we’ll be missing, but we’ll see. Hopefully he’s able to play, but if not, we trust the guys that are in there.”
Following this weekend’s game against Seattle, the Buccaneers face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.
