NFL Week 5: PrizePicks best prop bets

Each week, we will analyze some of the best player statistics on PrizePicks with the help of our new PFF Player Props Tool. Betting insights, matchup data and historical hit rates are just a few the things the tool has to offer.

Here are two props that stand out ahead of Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season.

RB Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers: More than 90.5 rush + rec. yards

Hampton has already established himself as a clear three-down workhorse running back just four games into his NFL career. His 212 snaps through Week 4 are the fifth-most for all backs this season, a trend you can expect to continue with Najee Harris on the team’s Injured Reserved (IR) for the rest of the season. In their first game without Harris last week vs. the Giants, Hampton was on the field 56 of a possible 63 snaps, with no other running back playing more than five snaps.

Hampton had his most efficient day on the ground vs. New York, turning 12 carries into 128 yards and  averaging an eye-popping 7.08 yards after contact per attempt. He was a factor in the passing game as well, catching all five targets thrown his way for an additional 37 yards. Over the last two weeks, he’s caught all 11 targets for 96 yards.

This week, the Chargers host the Washington Commanders in a game that has the third-highest over/under points total for the week at 48. Star quarterback Jayden Daniels will return after missing the previous two weeks, which should make this a highly competitive contest.

Hampton will lead the Chargers’ backfield in touches but may find his most success through the air vs. a defense that has been better vs. the run than the pass this season, as evidenced by a league-worst PFF coverage grade of 32.5 through the first month of the season.

Betting the over on Hampton’s total rushing and receiving yards is the most logical way to target his props this week given his usage both on the ground and through the air.

EDGE Joey Bosa, Buffalo Bills: More than 0.25 sacks

Bosa is off to a great start in his first year with the Bills after struggling with injuries over the last few years with the Chargers. The former first-round pick out of Ohio State ranks third in the NFL with a 92.5 PFF pass-rush grade, generating 15 pressures and two sacks over the last three weeks alone.

Another encouraging sign about Bosa’s health is how his snap count has steadily continued to rise. He was on the field for 61 snaps over the first two weeks of the season, a number that climbed to 102 snaps in Weeks 3 and 4.

This week, the Bills host the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. Buffalo is currently listed as eight-point favorites, which means New England will likely have to pass early and often. That should Bosa plenty of opportunities to rush the passer.

When looking at Bosa’s snap count by alignment this season, it suggests that he is going to line up vs. the weaker of the two New England offensive tackles if there is an obvious mismatch. For example, in Week 3 vs. Miami, Bosa lined up on backup right tackle Larry Borom’s side 37 snaps and left tackle Patrick Paul’s side just 16.

For New England, fourth overall pick Will Campbell has done well in pass protection (21st out of 71 qualifying tackles), while right tackle Morgan Moses ranks 41st with a 59.4 PFF pass-block grade. It would not be a surprise to see Buffalo try to take advantage of Bosa vs. Moses in this matchup.

Given how productive Bosa has been rushing the passer this year, the overall showdown and the potential for a positive game script as big home favorites, Bosa generating at least 0.50 sacks is a prop that stands out this weekend.

Bailey Zappe is likely pick over Shedeur Sanders to serve as Browns’ No. 2 QB behind Dillon Gabriel
