Technicky skvěle vybavený fotbalista přišel do Ostravy v srpnu na hostování z týmu polského vicemistra Rakówu Čenstochová, aby Baníku pomohl postoupit do skupinové fáze Konferenční ligy. Námluvy trvaly prakticky od začátku sezony.
Dotáhly se ale až v období, kdy bylo jasné, že do zahraničí odejdou Brazilec Ewerton, Matěj Šín a Tomáš Rigo. „Trvalo to delší dobu, ale jsem moc šťastný, že to nakonec dopadlo a že jsem tady,“ hlásil srbský křídelník, jenž se k týmu připojil jen pár hodin před prvním zápasem 3. překola v Celje.
Ve Slovinsku 29letý Plavšič nastoupil do druhého poločasu, v domácí odvetě odehrál 55. minut, vyřazení slezského týmu ale nezabránil. Baník po porážkách 0:1 a 0:2 v pohárové Evropě skončil.

Bývalý hráč Sparty a Slavie nastoupil za Baník v této sezoně do devíti zápasů, z toho šesti ligových. Naposledy hrál Plavšič 1. října v Pardubicích (1:0). V minulém kole na hřišti Zlína už chyběl.
Za Baník hrál Plavšič už v ročníku 2022/23, kdy prožil nejlepší zahraniční sezonu v kariéře. I s domácím pohárem zaznamenal v 27 zápasech pět gólů a sedm asistencí. Druhé angažmá v Ostravě mu zatím nevychází. Svými výkony nezaujal a aktuálně má na kontě jedinou asistenci při domácím vítězství nad Slováckem (2:0).
Nedaří se ani Baníku, který je s 10 body z 11 zápasů v prvoligové tabulce až na 11. místě.
