Finanční experti renomované agentury Bloomberg, kteří podrobně prozkoumali Ronaldovy kariérní výdělky, investice a reklamní smlouvy a upravili je o aktuální daňové sazby, ohodnotili jeho čisté jmění na 1,04 miliardy liber (29,5 miliardy korun). Na svůj seznam miliardářů zahrnul Bloomberg Ronalda poprvé.
Čtyřicetiletý Portugalec má doživotní smlouvu se společností Nike, která má údajně celkovou hodnotu 745 milionů liber (přes 21 miliard korun). Kontrakt má také se značkami Tag Heuer, Armani, PokerStars, Samsung, Unilever, Louis Vuitton a mnoha dalšími.
Mezi sportovce-miliardáře ale vynesla Ronalda především smlouva v saúdskoarabském Al-Nassru, kde vydělává neuvěřitelných 300 liber za minutu (8500 korun). Za každou hodinu mu tedy naskočí na účet přes půl milionu korun, za den je pak bohatší o 12,2 milionu korun. Portugalec navíc vlastní podíl v samotném klubu, což ještě více zvyšuje jeho už tak astronomické jmění.
Víc než lukrativní příjmy v Saúdské Arábii je však pro Ronalda portugalská reprezentace. Potvrdil to při úterním převzetí ceny Globo Prestigio za mimořádný přínos fotbalu ve své vlasti.
„Za národní tým hraju dvaadvacet let. Myslím, že tohle číslo mluví samo za sebe. Znamená vášeň, kterou mám pro nošení portugalského dresu, motivaci pro získávání trofejí. Často říkám, že kdybych mohl, hrál bych fotbal jen za národní tým, nehrál bych za žádný jiný klub, protože reprezentace je pro fotbalistu vrcholem,“ prohlásil Ronaldo na pódiu v FPF Arena Portugal v Oeiras.
Pětinásobný držitel Zlatého míče je ve 40 letech v perfektní fyzické kondici, drží si nadále vysokou výkonnost. Také proto odchod do fotbalového důchodu v dohledné době nechystá.
„Tuto trofej nevnímám jako konec kariéry, ale spíše jako pokračování všeho, co jsem během ní dokázal. Asi vás už nebaví vídat mě na podobných ceremoniálech, ale myslím, že národnímu mužstvu mám pořád co dát. Abych byl upřímný, ještě pár let chci hrát,“ uvedl Ronaldo, kterému do mety 1000 kariérních gólů chybí jen 54 branek.
